Had the Irish benedict - poached eggs with proper corned beef and hash browns etc. Absolutely delicious, hearty portions and reasonably priced.

Really gone off the boil - really bad service - no butter brought when it had been offered and no coffee fill up till actively requested. Scrambled eggs more like a greasy chopped omelette. Would not surprise me if they were made from a mix.. The place has not changed in years but in this case that is NOT a... More

Met a friend for an impromptu Sunday Brunch before heading to Delores Park. The location is great, right across from the Castro Theatre. Staff was very friendly, portions were more than generous, good was good, no pressure. The fact that it is spontaneous, no reservations required was a definite plus. Git the bill perfectly for what we needed.

We had the San Francisco Eggs Benny & the Mexican Eggs Benny. Both were really tasty, as was the fresh squeezed orange juice. Prices were reasonable, portions were generous, and service was friendly. I would recommend!

This quaint little restaurant on Castro Street serves a classical breakfast all day and lots of comfort foods and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. We mostly eat there for breakfast because it is the best in the area. If you want a quick and relatively less expensive lunch or dinner and like home cooking, this is the place for you.

It has actually been my thrid time in this place and I keep coming back. Their staff is very friendly and the menu has everything you wish for. Their pancakes and their eggs benedict are just great. If you are looking for breakfast/brunch, I definitely recommend this place.

I had dinner here as I was tempted by the menu in the window. The Cove is in the heart of the gay area in Castro and does cater for the local community. The Tomato Bisque I ordered for starter was very nice and came in a small cup accompanied by a piece of fresh local bread. My Chicken Masala... More

I love this place, and have for 20 years. Its got incredible home cooking, and the scene reminds me of what San Francisco used to be many years ago. Lots of mom and pop diners, great food, reasonable prices, just about everything you could want in a neighborhood café. Those days are gone, except at the Cove.

A cozy little cafe, open til 9pm. I stopped for dinner before returning to my room, prompt service, reasonable prices, a nice veggie curry over brown rice, and many other home style dinners.

We had a great breakfast here during a recent visit to the Castro. The menu is diner style but they have plenty of options. The portions were good size, prices reasonable and service friendly/quick. I would recommend. Grab a seat near the window to people watch. This place seems to have a lot of local regulars.

The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighborhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighborhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theaters and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
