While the food won't knock your socks off, though I do love the artichoke hash, this is a solid brunch option. Do yourself a favor and wait on a table outside. The service is variable, but this has been one of my go-to brunch spots for 10 years.

I had the roasted vegetable sandwich. It was really good. Very satisfying. The bread it came with was super good. I would eat here again.

This restaurant looked busy as we walked by today. We had a short wait for a table and I am really glad that we chose to eat their. I had brussetta to start with beautifully flavoured fresh tomatoes. I followed this with a pasta dish - chicken and artichoke heart in a roasted red pepper and cream sauce. Absolutely delicious.... More

We arrived just before a Saturday rush at 11.45. Breakfast was being served. Crab Benedict takes some beating. My daughters had the eggs Benedict and the standard breakfast. The service was very good and the food excellent. Perfect for a Saturday Brunch.

I am a fan of spaghetti Vongole so that is what I eat in every town I visit. Last time it was in Venice but this spaghetti Vongole was even as good as the one I ate in Venice.

We searched for an outdoor café on a Monday while visiting San Francisco, we wanted to dine in Little Italy. We found this place on Yelp and were so happy we did. We had a glass of wine, enjoyed the city hustle and bustle, and dined on fresh pasta. The server was attentive but not overly so, the kitchen accommodated... More

I like led it - clams to start and nice pizza. Beer also good and reasonably priced. Nice little room too. Ladies didn't like it. Bruschetta too large and risotto too salty. Everyone else seemed to like it ..,

Originally had gone to North Beach to eat at Tony's pizzeria, but didn't want to wait 2 hours (no pizza is that good). So looked around for other nearby options for dinner and found this little gem called Caffe Delucchi. It is a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating that you can tell is a locals favorite. Very nice... More

We stopped here for a drink and munchies and quickly wished we didn't have reservations elsewhere! We sat at a table outside and enjoyed the beautiful evening weather. The service was prompt and very friendly. My husband enjoyed the peach sangria, and I enjoyed a glass of the wonderful house Zinfandel. We were with another couple and ordered two appetizers... Brussel sprouts appetizer inspired us to eat way more brussel sprouts. My fiance said the ravioli ricotta was amazing, and the fettucine prosciutto was absolutely amazing. Cooked perfectly, beautiful flavors, nice atmosphere and great service.

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
