I like led it - clams to start and nice pizza. Beer also good and reasonably priced. Nice little room too. Ladies didn't like it. Bruschetta too large and risotto too salty. Everyone else seemed to like it ..,

Originally had gone to North Beach to eat at Tony's pizzeria, but didn't want to wait 2 hours (no pizza is that good). So looked around for other nearby options for dinner and found this little gem called Caffe Delucchi. It is a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating that you can tell is a locals favorite. Very nice... More

We stopped here for a drink and munchies and quickly wished we didn't have reservations elsewhere! We sat at a table outside and enjoyed the beautiful evening weather. The service was prompt and very friendly. My husband enjoyed the peach sangria, and I enjoyed a glass of the wonderful house Zinfandel. We were with another couple and ordered two appetizers... Brussel sprouts appetizer inspired us to eat way more brussel sprouts. My fiance said the ravioli ricotta was amazing, and the fettucine prosciutto was absolutely amazing. Cooked perfectly, beautiful flavors, nice atmosphere and great service.

We had late lunch here, what a beautiful lunch you can sit in and outside. The food is fabulous, they have happy hour from 4_7pm and its decent beer/larger not just ale. The waitresses were nice but not overbearing and the place was spotless. We will be returning here before we go home , its a touch of Italy, pizza... More

Stumbled across this great restaurant whilst walking around San Fran. It is a cute restaurant with fantastic Italian food. I had the meatballs with pasta and it was the best pasta I have ever had, my partner had the lamb shanks and we ended up going back a second time for dinner and he couldn't go past the shanks again.... We were on vacation in San Francisco and had found some restaurants to be fairly expensive. We headed for the Little Italy area and chose a restaurant based on its popularity. We were very pleased indeed. All four dishes we ordered were excellent and were very good value for money. The service was friendly and it was a great spot... More

We took a morning walk this past weekend and after passing by Cafe Delucchi and seeing a few patrons sitting outside enjoying their meals, we decided to grab a bite. Wow- A+ breakfast. So happy we stopped in. Best Eggs Florentine I have EVER had- everything was so fresh and delicious.

My two teenage daughters and I strolled down Columbus Avenue perusing all of the posted menus looking for a great place for dinner, and we found it here. Enough choices to please my vegetarian daughter, and other options for the meat eaters in the family. I love carpaccio, and was not disappointed here -- a classic presentation of thinly sliced... Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
