Small and comfortable setting. Waiters were really helpful, they recommended food and wine matches that really worked. Food was fabulous. Best gnocchi ever and rabbit was a perfect blend of sweet and sour

Our business dinner for 8 at Albona was just phenomenal, and we were amazed that no one else at our conference (or any of the local cab drivers) had heard of this restaurant. The space is small and cozy, but they managed to fit us...More

This place is wonderful. Make sure you engage with the staff they are excellent. They helped decide our dishes and also chose the wine to go with our meal. Food is different and strong on meat with full flavours. If you are in San Francisco...More

We went here based on TA reviews - every aspect was excellent - quality of food, friendly and professional service, all round wonderful dining experience. Eddie was our server and he's very friendly and accommodating.

Very nice, quiet and small restaurant. Tranquil athmosphere with good classical music softly in the bacground. Great food and perfect wine recommendations, very good service, reasonable prices. Lovely dinner on the last day of holiday in California.

This is the prototype of the great neighborhood restaurant. We went before going to Beach Blanket Babylon-overall it makes for a great evening. Small, unassuming exterior. Very good Italian food with interesting twists. Service was very friendly and attentive. We had mussels and a salad...More

We found this restaurant based on TA reviews. When we got there I thought we were at the wrong place. It is, as they say, a "hole in the wall." We walked in and had to push through a curtain (which, as we later learned,...More

We booked thinking it would be great for our anniversary, wish we hadn't it was a rip off, bad food & uncaring service. I said to the Mexican waiter I didn't like the starter and he just shrugged his shoulders. Please be warned you will...More

We made reservations at Albona based on the numerous fantastic reviews. Boy were we disappointed! Super small room, not many tables. But somehow we still had to wait for a server. No one came up to our table for more than 10 minutes. Then we...More

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds
for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North
Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
