Who would have thought a local and somewhat divey Irish bar would have a great Indian curry place attached to it. Best curry I have had while enjoying happy hour Guinness beer, juke box blues and a ho key game. Great night.

I only ordered take out, but I have done it twice this week. It ambiance is set by the bar, not as a typical Indian restaurant, so that might now work for some. It seems to be a populate hangout, but it did not seem...overly noisy, though again, I took take-out. Menu was very complete with all the items one expects. I had Saag and Rogan Josh and both were great. Prices are very reasonable.More

Yes this is a true Irish dive bar that has great curry. This was so funky that we had to go in and try it for lunch. The food was very good so don't let the dive bar part fool you.

We all go for different things, I guess. Some of the reviews on here are understandable but wouldn't apply to our group. If you like authentic Indian food and great craft beer, if you like pool and table football, this is a great pub. It...may not have fancy surroundings, but it's an authentic local bar - but the food was excellent. We loved it!More

We were referred here by the owner of a local business, on the basis of the range of craft beers and the availability of curry. We walked into the place by what turned out to the back stairs, into what looked like the remains if...a frat party - table upon table filled with the remains of a drinking party, largely unlit. We almost left at that point, but pushed on to discover that the bar was further into the premises, near the front door. The bar was lined by a group who were babbling incoherently (it was still daylight), but with no bar staff in sight. We waited 5 mins, and as no serving staff appeared, we left. From the menu scribbled on the wall there was both a range of craft beers, and curry, available - however we did not get to sample either. From our experience, only check out this joint if you are looking for a real dive bar experience.More

As someone who has travelled, hopefully this will make sense: this curry was good by American standards but average by U.K. or Indian standards. The naan was fresh and pleasant. The curry was ok but, lacked any finesse. The dining room had no atmosphere and...the service was inattentive but nothing to complain about. It’s also a bit strange that you have to go to a separate bar for your drinks. All in all, ok, but I wouldn’t actively seek this place out again.More

The worst so called "Indian Restaurant" I have visited. The place is drab, the food below par and the service, absolutely terrible. Hankering for spicy food after several days stay in SFO, we came across this place and we thought, Pub + Indian Food; what...more can you ask for? MISTAKE. Terrible Terrible Service and Tasteless Food Without moving an inch from where she was, An elderly Chinese ladyasked "How Many?". We said "table for 3 please". with that she pointed to a table in the middle of the restaurant (again not moving an inch). the rest of the tables had not been cleared from previous meals. She took the drinks order and left the menus. as she returned, I asked, How are the eggs cooked in the Dhosa's. Her expressionless reply "it has eggs in it". So I asked again and she looked confused and with the same expressionless reply said "it has eggs in it". She clearly didn't understand Indian food and probably didn't want to be waiting tables. I nevertheless ordered the dish to try. It tasted tasteless. My family left the dishes they had ordered as they felt the same. To complete the lack of service, a second lady came and asked if we wanted to pack the food. when we said no thank you. with that she left the bill (with suggestions for a tip and the calculations on the bill and walked off). She didn't even wonder why we had left almost full plates of meals un eaten. Come on Curry House - you are letting down the restaurants in SFO and the staff who work hard to give great service. Try eight am (always a queue of people outside) and see what it means to give great food at great prices with great service. Poor Food, poor decor and dreadful service!!!More

We went here as I'd read that they has vegan options on their menu. It really was the worst restaurant we went to during our week in San Francisco. The bar staff in the irish bar were friendly but the staff in the restaurant were...downright rude and completely unhelpful when we had questions about the menu. We really should have just walked then but we were hungry and it was a busy time of day to get a table anywhere else. We ordered and the food came very quickly... starters and mains all at the same time. It was very poor quality food, we eat Indian food alot but there was nothing here we enjoyed at all. Not delicately spiced just overly hot and garlicky.Even the Naan was undercooked. I very much doubt that what I was given was vegan but I guess I'll never know. We ate very little, it was such rubbish food. Atmosphere was strange, unfriendly, cold and the toilets will give you nightmares.More

The Indian food here is very tasty, great value and doesn't take too long. Bar service is never very fast, but not rude. Beer list has a solid craft selection. Generally a cool, casual place to have a beer and watch sport or have a...quick biteMore

We arrived late afternoon , the place was dead with only one other family eating and a couple of folks in the bar. We were shown to the restaurant side and given menus. We had been told this venue did a mean curry and they...do. Our food was plentiful and really tasty, service was good but we were only one of two tables. On the downside the place is grubby and the toilets are awful... would i visit again, yes if they give it a good clean as the curry was super.More
