Although I liked this sushi, it was very pricey for what it is. I didn't thoroughly enjoy it, and for the price and reviews I would have expected to. I know it's in SF and sushi costs a lot but still. If you don't care about money then head here.

Stan took care of us and arranged off the menu requests with a smile. Melt in your mouth salmon and tempura.

Extremely good sushi at an extremely relaxed place. Who ever heard of foie gras and scallop sushi? It was one of the most memorable pieces of sushi I have ever had. Good rolls. Hamachi Kama that could feed a family. Asahi on tap. And an easy walk from Fishermans Wharf. The bill for two was under $100 and we ordered... More

This place was very good. I am usually not much of a fan but the wife so I agreed to go in for a quick Dragon Roll ( even though we just ate about an hour earlier)...was so good we topped it off with a spicy tuna roll. Very good

Stopped by the "old" neighborhood (where we lived for one year, one year ago) to dine with friends. Friendly owner; small place; not the world's best fish and the ambiance tends toward the down-at-heel.

great sushi for reasonable prices. we can absolutely recommend that place. try the red dragon roll! whereas the food is excellent the ambiente is not similar to a first class restaurant.

And with a sushi happy hour to boot! What's not to like? The key is - just get away from all the restaurants (aka tourist traps) in the immediate Fisherman's Wharf area. Start going up the hills into the neighborhoods and find the real places where the locals eat. Better food, better atmosphere, better prices. Following my advice ended up... More

Large fresh cuts of sushi. Very impressive. You get a lot for your $$. Kind of small and cramped dining area but worth it. Miso soup the best I've had.

Everywhere we go we check out Japanese restaurants, it's our favourite food and by a long margin the one we eat the most. This restaurant was close to us at dinner time and we went for it, it doesn't look great from the outside but it did have good reviews on TA. The food is very inexpensive for what you're... More

We enjoy this small friendly sushi restaraunt. The fish is always fresh and tasty. Love the addition of foie gras in several dishes. Wait staff is very helpful and quick with responses to questions on items. If your in SF make this a stop every time. I would add the foie gras to all the sushi items if possible or... More

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
