This bar does get busy and, I think, raucous. We just had a drink during happy hour, 4-6pm. The prices were good. The cuisine is basically bar snacks and pub food. We had a bar snack and it was surprisingly tasty. We had a meal just across the road and when we came past the Eastside, the queue was snaking... More

Regarding the bar, they had a good selection of handles. We got appetizers the two times we were there while in SF. They were good. Service was good. I could see where it could be frustrating but I think they are just laid back (not trying to excuse the reviewer's server who watched the ice melt in the drinks before... More

We ordered the "Dirty Hippie" eggs Benedict and the chicken sandwich. They were great! The service wasn't good and we watched our drinks melt at the bar while the server just stood around. We'd come back though!

I saw Eastside West while staying at a nearby B&B. went inside on a Sat morning and had brunch. The Marina Benedict was amazing! Fresh crab cakes and ingredients, was very tasty. The bloody Marys were good, above average. I will return again. Meal was $35 for myself, including drinks, but it was worth it.

This is the First time I have been back in over a year... I was traveling to see my son who lives in SF from Lake Oswego, Oregon. When I was here a year ago... They were having trivia night and we were in time to catch Happy Hour... A year ago...the happy hour was excellent, and I was excited... More

We used this bar in an evening for drinks and snacks. Plenty of happy hour offers on!! Drinks very nice as was the food but what made it for us was the friendliness of the staff. We met someone new each evening but all made us very welcome!!

We stopped in here for a quick drink before dinner. My friend and I both got one of their signature cocktails. It was delicious, strong, but easy to drink. The place was still pretty empty but it was early. We weren't eating but the menu item's looked good. I would definitely come back again!

Let me just say that Eastside West was one of my favorite places to go to for fresh seafood and a good old bloody mary, among other fun cocktails. We have spent many fun afternoons and evenings there in the past. I haven't been there in a few years since I moved away - but on a recent visit to... More

Went here for Sunday Brunch. Most of the patrons were on cocktails and smooth tunes played in the background. Ordered eggs Benedict & the breakfast, beni was fine but found the breakfast bacon had been deep fried and the steak fries had probably been triple fried, fine if you require soakage after a big night but not so otherwise. Coffees... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
