We walked to Rose's from Hotel Del Sol. Oscar recommended this place to us when we checked in. Food excellent and wine excellent. Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and food great! Would go back again and again!

In need of a dog friendly outdoor cafe I walked to find rose's cafe. The coffee , salads , sandwiches And desserts are lovely. Wait staff every time was pleasant , friendly & quick. Heaters are a nice plus for outdoor diners to adjust themselves.

Visiting from Australia, our hotel recommended here. Thought we would show up with no booking at around 8.30 mid week on the off chance we may get in. We were lucky as two, people were just leaving. Loved the atmosphere, the service was great, the food was beautiful, we shared a pizza and fig salad with a carafe of red. Loved... More

While visiting San Francisco, we stumbled upon Rose's and decided the menu looked good, so we stopped for a late lunch. The menu includes wild salmon, which was very appealing to me, but not as a sandwich, and the restaurant was flexible to serve it with a salad. A couple at the next table heard us discussing the menu and... More

We visited early afternoon on a rainy Sunday. We were lucky to get table right away. They also have outside seating. The coffee was excellent and the service friendly and perfect. The ambience was cozy and cheerful. We had the polenta, sausage and poached eggs and the scrambled eggs with home-made toast - all delicious. We will be back!

There was about a 20 minute wait, but there were chairs on the sidewalk outside the door and the (beautiful) people watching (can't recall seeing so many very fit people in one place) in the gorgeous, sunny weather made it go by very quickly. Prices were quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food, such as the very popular... More

We had Sunday brunch at Rose's Cafe. We had to wait outside for ten minutes or so, but as the weather was really nice the wait did not matter. My wife, daughter and I ordered three different dishes. My breakfast pizza with an egg on top was definitely the best of our dishes. As it was pretty crowded, the waitress... More

There is nothing not to like about Rose's Cafe. I had gotten of the bus too soon and they were so kind to me, offering me a place to sit and "re-group" after a flight and getting on the wrong bus. I had a cappuccino, later came back for dinner because of their kindness. It is a local cafe for... More

we were destined to a French restaurant nearby, where we did not feel the atmosphere was right. So we went to the Rose's Cafe just because it was very near. Excellent decision, because both my wife and I had a memorable meal. My sopressata pizza was, hands down, the best and most refined pizza I have ever had, anywhere (including... More

On New Year's Day we had brunch at Rose's Cafe and started 2014 off with a fine experience. The brunch menu had several options and the three of us each ordered something different. The food was delicious and fresh. My eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. We all enjoyed the polenta. The pastries were pricey but very tasty!... More

Description
A favorite in the Cow Hollow neighborhood, Rose's Café is a hangout for locals who bask in the sun at sidewalk tables, duck inside for a cappuccino, or stay for a leisurely lunch or dinner. Many customers are regulars who frequent our pretty bistro-café that offers table service and deliciously consistent food - Italian fare created using organic local produce, fresh seafood, humanely raised meats, and free-range poultry. Rose's artisan bakers bake a daily selection of pastries, desserts and breads. Menu highlights include: pizzas, daily soups, and house made pastas.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
