Had a great breakfast here in a lively atmosphere. The food and service is very good. The coffee cups could be a bit larger but that's just me.

Went here on a recommendation from our VRBO hosts during our 3-day stay in San Francisco. Had the chopped salad with Gorgonzola dressing..divine! Oh and added the grilled chicken. My husband had the poached eggs and sausage on polenta with the tomatoes. He said it was wonderful also! Fast service and authentic little bistro. Great place!

The menu is not huge but what they do they do well. Intimate little place with a very nice ambiance, we found the service to be excellent, restrooms clean, nice wine list and unlike other reviewers found the price reasonable. We had a couple of appetisers (for us Aussies, entrees) and a pizza, all very good. They totally nail the... More

My friends love this small cafe only a block from my house. I find the menu limited and, when the food is good the service is mediocre at best. No chance of water, no chicken or walnuts in the Caesar salad (my friend never did get the walnuts), inaccurate bills, never properly corrected, noisy and crowded. I have been several... More

Delicious dinner in a cozy place. Special attention for the superb starter with figs, parma and blue cheese. The zafron risotto is fantastic.

Rose's is a nice corner place that features basic fare at a reasonable cost. The patio is small, but well cut off from the street and nicely warmed by overhead heaters. The staff is friendly and efficient. The salads are huge and well portioned. The beet, ,for instance, must have had two or three beets in it and chunked rather... More

Roses is quite the marina staple for brunch. They're known for their breakfast pizzas and to be completely honest, probably their instagramable patio seating. Gorgeous marble tables and hazelnut lattes make you feel like your in Paris. Expect a wait, especially Sunday's after church gets out. Best time to go is weekdays. In my opinion there's yummier spots for brunch... More

I visited this restaurant with my family. As I entered the restaurant I could tell the server didn't want to help a group of 8 people. I told her we could be split up and have 2 tables of 4. This also seem to be a problem as they said they could not take care of us at that time... More

Description
A favorite in the Cow Hollow neighborhood, Rose's Café is a hangout for locals who bask in the sun at sidewalk tables, duck inside for a cappuccino, or stay for a leisurely lunch or dinner. Many customers are regulars who frequent our pretty bistro-café that offers table service and deliciously consistent food - Italian fare created using organic local produce, fresh seafood, humanely raised meats, and free-range poultry. Rose's artisan bakers bake a daily selection of pastries, desserts and breads. Menu highlights include: pizzas, daily soups, and house made pastas.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
