Instead of going to a place in the center part of San Francisco or a tourist area take a ride to this wonderful restaurants in the area of Nob Hill. They are so welcoming when you arrive, the food is fantastic service is great and the atmosphere is great, this is truly the best Italian restaurants I've gone to in... More

Smallish space, limited menu, rather traditional fare. Food was fine, just nothing exceptional...veal limone piccata...ok veal, but rather dull, even realizing that the dish isn't very exciting...good tiramisu, good service.

Great Atmosphere, pleasant and fast service, and the food was delicious. We had Lasagne and Fettuccini and enjoyed every bite. Walked up from Union Square area and it was worth the walk !

To start, the neighborhood has a wonderful feel, especially at night with the lights, the cable car and San Francisco charm. The location and the actual space of the restaurant also added character. Small though not cramped and the different spaces also enhanced the ambiance. We were greeted in a kind and friendly manner. The wine list was great and... More

Good end to a rainy day - very cozy restaurant with friendly & helpful staff. Pasta was house made and we couldn't stop eating the desserts even though we were full. We were even treated to a special tiramisu on the house!

The food here is authentic and hand crafted !! The focaccia bread is warm and delicious ! Small space so don't expect not to hear other diners' conversations and don't expect an intimate meal experience. If you want homemade, authentic Italian .... then this is the place !!! The service was friendly and fast. A neighborhood gem !

We were staying in Union Square and needed to escape the tourist hordes. I found this restaurant while sorting through TripAdvisor. What a great find! The food was outstanding, especially the pastas and fish special. Reasonably priced for what it is, including the wine list. A nice homey space in a quiet neighborhood. Was just a short Uber ride away.... More

Best Italian restaurant in SF at any price. Tiny place on a quiet stretch of Pacific - simple decor - attentive service. The best winter salad I've had - frisée and pomegranate and persimmon and pear. Glorious grilled squid over cannelini The pastas are simple outstanding as good as any I've had in Italy. Wine list a bit pricey but... More

Friendly staff. I live up the street and was locked out of my house and the maitre d' welcomed me although they have a full house. I walked in an hour before the other reservations arrival and he squeezed me in. They had a lovely man from Pecorari vineyard here to tell me all about one of their delicious Italian... More

I visited here with a friend who lives locally and he loves this place and I can see why. The staff are lovely, friendly and extremely helpful and the food is delicious, Italian wouldn't usually be my first choice as a cuisine but this was delicious, very fresh and tasty. The menu has a food choice and there are a... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
