I visited here with a friend who lives locally and he loves this place and I can see why. The staff are lovely, friendly and extremely helpful and the food is delicious, Italian wouldn't usually be my first choice as a cuisine but this was delicious, very fresh and tasty. The menu has a food choice and there are a... More

The front desk at our inn suggested this place. Wow! It was so good. We were there on a Monday night, which is a special menu. We were all very pleased with our dinners and recommend it highly.

Good (in some cases just average) food. Very good soup and pasta. Not the best for salads. Cramped / small place. Good service.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Milano. Truly authentic Italian dishes with a great menu to choose from, delicious pasta. The choice of Italian wines is also impressive. The restaurant has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It's not a large restaurant which for me is a good thing. If considering, book early.

We appreciate you for recognizing the authenticity of Ristorante Milano. The pleasure of good food and good company was of ultimate importance for me growing up in Rome. My family and I have continued this tradition here at Ristorante Milano for more than 25 years. Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. Grazie, Aldo More

Wonderful food. Great service. Party of nine and every dish was prepared and served perfectly. The place was away from the maddening crowd of the waterfront area.

If you want know what Italy is like then this restaurant is a good place to go. The pasta dishes are awesome. As a visitor to USA this place seemed like a neighbourhood favourite. It is well worth going to so book ahead as it was busy throughout the evening. ,The wines were authentic so it really was like taking... More

This restaurant is clearly a neighborhood favorite, with an older crowd earlier in the evening, gets younger as the night goes on. It's a small space, so prepared to be close to the next table. Pasta dishes were simply spectacular, was like a quick trip to Italy.

We arrive in SF that afternoon and found this place after a little online searching. We didnt have a reservation, but we got wait outside on a nice bench on the sidewalk and where they brought us a bottle of wine to drink while we waited. When we were seated we got the front of house table (in my opinion... More

I have been eating at Milano for a few years now. The food is consistently top quality, the ingredient are fresh and the pasta is made in house. Aldo, the owner, really cares about showcasing true Italian cuisine with a specific attention to well executed dishes from his (and my) native city, Rome. The wine selection is limited and very... Since we got to the restaurant the service and hospitality was awesome and the food was the real deal. If your looking for real Italian food this is the place. Don't forget to eat The Torta Capresse to die for. Keep it up!

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
