I chose to enjoy my 50th birthday here since I have had several special meals here over the years. I had the English cut which I prefer because I find the thinner slices more flavorful. I had the corn instead of spinach. I skipped the Yorkshire pudding. The salad and that yummy dressing make it a fine way to prepare... More

Visited on a Thursday night. While busy and table was not ready at time of reservation was seated in the bar. Seating was comfortable, the decor a throwback and the service friendly and welcoming. The drinks were beyond generous (My wife enjoyed the strongest and largest lemon drop of her life). After a short wait we were seated in an... More

When you go here you should know that you want to have great prime rib. Because there is nothing else. This was my second visit and it was as good as the first. You get to choose from various cuts of the prime rib, a few complements (spinach is great), baked or mashed potatoes and the wine of course. As... More

This place has one of the prime ribs! Good service, although reservations are hard to get because of their popularity, it is well worth the wait! Love ❤️ this resto!

When I booked a reservation for this place - the only time slot available was 9:30 pm. I now understand why – this place far exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious from the salad / bread / prime rib and sides everything I ate was delicious. Yes you will wait when you go to this restaurant but for what... More

My lady and I went to the house of prime rib for dinner 10/12/16 We both had the house of prime rib cut for our entree. Three types of horseradish on the side. With that you get House Caesar salad, baked potato(fully loaded),or mashed potatoes. Cream spinach or corn and Yorkshire pudding. I had the prime rib, Caesar salad and Yorkshire... More

I was impatient to try this famous restaurant, also based on trip advisor's feedbacks. My experience was not excellent: the meat cut is not really tasty, a big show from the waiter only for a salat and relative high prices. Good to try once but would not go back.

The food is amazing. While $40 does seem very expensive remember that you get a slice of Prime rib, a plate full of salad that is very good, and the option of a baked potato with everything you can imagine on it, or the choice of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The service is excellent and so is the building... More

We weren't sure we could get a table since reservations are usually made days in advance. So we decided to risk it and went there at 5:30pm. When we got in, the bar area was already full. But lo and behold, we got seating for 3 in a quiet corner. The service is impeccable, the prime rib selection absolutely great,... More

This place seems to be iconic as it was recommended but nothing like the prime rib place we have tried in Sydney. We were expecting fine dining. Decor is dated, it is packed with families and very noisy. There are not a lot of choices on the menu which I guess makes it easier for staff. The prime rib was... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
