We visited House of Prime Rib whilst on holiday in San Francisco with our two grown up children. We were welcomed warmly on arrival and shown to the bar where we ordered our drinks. Our table was ready quickly and our drinks were taken to the table for us. Our waiter was lovely, so friendly but very professional. We loved... More

Our first time at the House of Prime Rib and the the food was great but the service wasn't. I would have given our server a 2 star but he did remember we were celebrating a birthday. The bread was nicely warmed. The salad was aweful. It would have been fine, if our server wasn't so heavy handed with the... More

The food was amazing. Our waiter was so gracious and made the experience super welcoming. My meat was so tender I bareley needed my knife to cut it. The sides were superb, especially the baked potato. I plan to take my parents their for their fifty first wedding anniversary.

Starting with Manhattans that came in individual glass shakers, I knew our meal would be fabulous. The salad is served with great flourish spinning in an ice bowl while the dressing is poured on. The prime rib was so flavorful and tender, and of course Yorkshire pudding is an added bonus.

To say they feed you is an understatement. Standard meal gives you enough for 2 days for an average size guy. Prime ribs are large and prepped right at your table. Not to mention the nice size portioned sides. Two thumbs up on the meal.

This was our first time at the House of Prime Rib, and it did not disappoint. We ate there following a Giants game. Since street parking is difficult, we took advantage of the valet parking. We were seated right upon arrival with our reservation (highly recommended). The generous cocktails were very well crafted. If you are expecting anything beyond a... More

This is our second time dining here, and the service was night and day from our first experience. The waiter was rushing to take our order, but never asked for our drinks. The bread and salad arrived before our water glasses were filled or our Corona's arrived. The waiter forgot the salad utensils, so he left the salad sitting between... More

I am not a beef/steak person. I almost never order meet dishes at restaurants.. I usually am craving. When I found out my family's dinner reservation was at a place that (pretty much) only serves Prime Rib, I wasn't super jazzed. But I went and was blown away. This Prime Rib was bonkers good. I couldn't get enough. The sides... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
