Arrived just at opening time but still to early for dinner , so we decided to have some happy hour wine. The bartender Andy is very sociable and friendly . But when a couple came in that Andy knew , they also ordered the same...wine but were given much larger wine glasses. So i gather if you go to Catch for Happy Hour , you are given a much smaller glass ( rip off ) but if you know the bartender you are given a large glass . This was done right in front of us ....this double standard restaurants use is nothing more then a money grab , it saves the customer NOTHING . The host was very friendly and seated us right away near the fire pit . The warmth felt good . But the Short Ribs fell "short" was barely warm . Why is there no ribs in shortribs anymore?? It was filling but just so so. My partner had the Cioppino which was just ok as well. The broth tasted very fishy and not the tomato based broth that usually comes with the dish. The fish overpowered the entire dish , and should have been the flavor of crab . The service was good and fast actually . If i return it will be for happy hour for appetizers and starters and skip the wine .More

Great service and good food at this restaurant near the Castro in San Francisco. Great location near Muni line. It’s pretty pricey especially once they start putting on healthcare surcharges etc. but the food was good the service was good. I loved my short ribs....I definitely recommend this place.More

One always gets a little suspicious when the food comes in really fast, as if it was waiting on a counter somewhere. But not to worry here. My lobster pasta was delicious, and Joel’s salmon just as great. It is definitely worth a try when...in the Castro district.More

We enjoyed a quick meal at Catch the other night. The food was tasty and fairly price; good quality beer. Service was on point, with lots of waiting staff hustling around.

We went for a quick bite/ early dinner as we had evening plans. We each had a large starter, scallops with portobello mushrooms and mussels in a spicy sauce with toasted bread to dip as well as sharing a vegetable side. The food is excellent...and very fresh. Expertly prepared and served by a friendly staff. Well worth a visit if in the Castro district.More

Nice atmosphere, good service and superb food! Shared oysters and scallops to start (excellent) and 3 types of fish-all delicious and well presented. Managed to squeeze in a dessert too-prices reasonable for the quality-highly recommended!
