This is a small restaurant with a lot of character in the Bernal heights area. Parking is not easy as there are a lot of residential homes. We ordered a few appetizers like samosa and momo. The samosa was good but the momo flour was...a little thick. Most of us ordered Tandoori dishes and I have the chicken. It was very flavorful and there were quite a few pieces of chicken which made for a filling meal. Overall the food was tasty and filling. This is worth a try to experience something different that is close to Indian food but not quite the same. I would probably return but it took a little bit of driving to get here.More

Had the Himalayan veg momos and veg chowmein. Despite informing them that spicy was fine for me, the momos were bland, the dip was also mildly spicy. The outer layer of the momos was too thick. Eaten a lot of Nepalese food in the past,...momos are definitely a lot better usually. The veg chowmein were on fire, the noodles used looked like spaghetti but the dish was overall not bad. The papad and chutneys they served while waiting for food were amazing, flavours of both the mint & sweet chutney was on point. Overall, probably ok to visit once.More

The special atmosphere and friendly staff of this family owned restaurant makes is a special place in SF. Nice tibetan music is played and on the walls you can see pictures of family members standing on Mount Everest and other mountains in the Himalaya. The...Servings are authentic and well cooked. It is absolutely worth having a glimpse on a truly Little Nepal in SF.More

Stayed at an Air Bnb down the street from here and thought we’d give it a try. Small place with a family feel. Four of us had dinner (probably over ordering as well) with a carafe of wine for only $100. The samosas were excellent...as well as all the curries! The staff was sooo nice and gave us excelllent recommendations. The curries also included rice and naan in the prices which was awesome. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!More

Really tasty food -- excellent, friendly, efficient service. The whole package. We all had Tandoori dishes (salmon & shrimp) and they were delicious. Will definitely be back.

Had this for takeaway when we first arrived in San Francisco. Just what we needed: yummy and lots of it. It was beautifully spiced and even got extra flat bread which were great. Definitely recommend the spinach paneer, cashew chicken and chicken momos as good...dishes!More

Little Nepal has been in Bernal Heights for many years. It has undergone some changes since the original owner died, but his wife works very hard to carry on her husband’s work. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are very satisfying. I was...first there, maybe, ten years ago and the quality has been maintained. The staff is very polite and helpful. The owner calls, “Namaste” to all as they leave.More

Friendly staff, and we got 20% off for some happy hour deal they had (otherwise would have been on the expensive side). But the food was middle of the road. The chicken tandoori was well prepared and not dry, but the other dishes were not...seasoned properly. Modest portions. We ordered 4 items for 3 people and had no leftovers.More

This small restaurant in the heart of Bernal Heights was a great dining spot on a budget for a tasty lamb appetizer followed by a combination of salmon and chicken dishes with rice and condiments. The restaurant has a Thai Asian feel to it, but...the cuisine resembles more of an Indian restaurant and presentation.More

This is probably one of the best Nepalese restaurants i've encountered so far. Had a kukhurado ledo (Nepalese chicken curry) combo; the main dish was delicately flavorful and balanced. The dal and chutney were just right, nan had a bit too much oil for my...taste. Attentive, friendly yet non-pushy service. Reasonable prices.More

I just ate dinner at Little Nepal and I'm totally blown away. Little Nepal is the first Nepalese restaurant in San Francisco, and they set the bar really high! The venue has the best decor and offers a peaceful vibe. We ordered the Himalayan Momo...as an appetizer, it was good, very much like Chinese pot stickers. I ordered the Kukhura ra palak, a chicken with spinach dish and it was probably the best chicken I've ever had. The garlic naan was also delicious. I really can't speak highly of this enough. Definitely go, as you won't be disappointed!More

One of the best Nepalese foods I have had in the states. Everything we ordered (chicken curry, lentils , fish and rayo ko saag) were delicious. HIghly recommended if you are in the area.

I'm wasn't amazed, but I wasn't disappointed. Food was fresh and tasty. Side dishes could have been a bit warmer, but entrees were quite good. Dining room is well appointed and bathroom is clean. Service was good. Street parking at 6pm was easy and safe.
