On Sundays, there is a line outside. No reservations but good Chinese food and terrific service. Definitely a good stop if you are out in the Richmond District and hungry. And also perfect for take out.
Plenty of food for 3. We ordered steamed bbq buns, pot stickers, sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice, spicy string beans, clay pot fish. Everything but the fish was outstanding. I usually don’t like fried rice but this rice is killer. The sweet and...More
My first time at Ton Kiang (5821 Geary St.) was not disappointing at all. We arrived at around 2:30 pm on a Sunday with no great expectations of getting fresh dumplings at that hour and was surprisingly happy to see the place full of customers...More
Great little dim sum place! A little pricey and staff speaks very little to no English but we accepted whatever the staff brought and it was all great! Both veggie and meat dishes were perfection. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner!
If you're a dim sum fan, this is a must go spot in SF. The service is continuous with the many delightful choices from which to select. Take your time to pick and choose as you enjoy the slightly crowded facility. If you have four...More
I used to frequent this restaurant on visits to San Francisco and I hadn’t eaten here in more than 20 years !

The food here is fabulous. The servers come by with carts of food and you are able to see what you want and don't want. We aren't big eaters so it great to see the sizes and the food. Beware, it is closed on Wednesday!...More
If this restaurant were in the FiDi, this would be one of the top Chinese restaurants in the city. As it is, they offer the best dim sum in the city. I've eaten dim sum all of SF, all over China and in many cities...More

This is a very "down home" restaurant patronized by many locals. Unless you have a very large party, bookings are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The seating area is tight amongst the tables. But the wait is worth it if you are desiring authentic ally prepared Chinese food. The dim sum selections were excellent.
