This small establishment is French bistro in style with a small but pleasant menu featuring French comfort food accompanied by appropriate and inexpensive wines and by very friendly service. The early bird dinner special is a three course meal that is a bargain. Tables are filled with locals.

In my experience French centric restaurants are typically overpriced because, well, they're French. I can see where when exceptional sauces and dishes are prepared one should pay for the additional labor and expertise. But unfortunately when typically paid a premium for expertise. Our party of six enjoyed a wonderful evening of French cuisine and wine at the Baker Street Bistro,... More

I made our reservations on OpenTable just a few hours in advance on a rare warm San Francisco night. Since it was warm all the outside table were full. But, just as we were ordering one of the table became available. It was nice of them to accommodate us so we could enjoy the warm spring air. My wife and... More

A lovely local restaurant with friendly staff and great food. The service is quick and friendly and the wine, even by the glass, is great.

7 of us dined. Soup and salads were fine and the charcuterie plate looked wonderful. 3 of us had steak frites and all 3 full of gristle and very fatty. lamb chops, so much fat and gristle provided one bite each and the rest inedible. Scallops and salmon were good, portions just a bit small. Mussels, good sized portion was... More

Enjoyed this neighborhood gem last weekend. Very attentive and friendly service. Enjoyed a custom omelette and traditional eggs with bacon. Both came with wonderful potatoes and fresh side green salad. Prices also very reasonable (for San Francisco!) Would definitely recommend.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
