Loved every plate. They were all well made and cooked and delectable. The stuffed grape leaves were home made and outstandin. Not easily found. Decor was also great. And great location!

This is a small neighborhood style, fantastic Greek restaurant in San Francisco's wonderful Marina district. They made special arrangements for us to dine upstairs (privately) because we were a larger party...very accommodating folks! The food is innovative and very fresh...a ton of turnover..I had a "lamb burger" that was out of this world....very tasty! We also had several small apps...one... More

We had a great meal here. We first ordered a bottle of wine (they have a nice selection of Greek wines from different regions). We also had a selection of mezes and sides (stuffed calamari, tzaziki, Marithes, and htipiti). Food was delicious! Staff were helpful and courteous.

A very nice and energetic Greek Restaurant. We reserved ahead and got a table upstairs away from the bar. The prices were very reasonable (ie. $14 for a Gyro platter). Very good selection of your typical greek dishes...unfortunately they did not have any lamb shank (according to our server, the menu was recently revamped). The four of us had a... More

Husband randomly decided he wanted mezes...and then we saw the sign for Mezes! Other than his hankering for dolmas we were pretty open to trying things, and our waiter steered us toward several that were new to us. Gigantes (what looked like broad beans in a tomato sauce), fried cheese (yum), a lemony chicken-rice soup, super-delicious fried...zucchini?...cakes--plus the dolmas, pita,... More

We went with another couple to Mezes prior to a show at the Palace of Fine Arts Theater. I had made note in my reservation that we had a show to attend, and the staff knew that when we arrived, checked in with us about specifics as to when we had to leave, and made sure that we were served... I was there on a date. I had the steamed mussels with a creamy wine and ouzo sauce. It was amazing! I asked for some bread, none came with it, and used it to mop the sauce up that's how good it was. My date got the spanakopita, which she said was great too. I tried the Kyr-Yianni Greek wine.... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
