Sociale is a small Italian restaurant worth visiting when in San Fran. I had the Tagliatelle with duck, which is their signature dish and it is understandable why - it was superb! Good wines and beers to go along with your dinner. Note that they only have wine and beer and no other alcoholic beverages.

We ate here with a dinner party following a wedding. Our group had a private room, with a menu of specially selected appetizers, entrees and desserts. The meal included champagne, and wines. We had at least three attendants, who were very busy keeping glasses filled and serving the food. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. This is a... More

I shot a wedding reception at this restaurant and wow what a treat. As other reviewers have noted, it's hidden away down a little alley and it opens up to a nice patio. The food was delicious. The noodles in my pappardelle took me back to mom's noodles when I was a kid! The biggest impression on me was the... More

This is a must stop for us whenever we are in the city visiting friends. It's a cute restaurant tucked off the street in a nice neighborhood. The aspargus salad and the lamb meatballs were fantastic!! My friend always orders the duck ragu pappardelle which is a staple on the menu. The service is very friendly and approachable! I will... Always good food, great service and wonderful ambiance. I've been a few times and every single time I can be assured of an excellent time. The service goes above and beyond --recommendations are always good. Nice hidden spot on Sacramento Street.

We had an excellent lunch celebrating my best friend's birthday in this tucked away, cozy eatery nested among the high end boutiques of Sacramento Street. Warm decor and attentive service set the tone as we relaxed and dined for a couple of hours, savoring a mouthwatering flatbread as an appetizer, rich and subtle with melted cheese and hint of onion.... We walked down a narrow walkway from the street and magically there were some outdoor tables under an awning and then a wonderful indoor space as well. We ate outside and had light rain to accompany the soft chatter of the other customers. We split 3 hors d'oeuvres including fried olives and young mozzarella My dinner was delicious duck on... More

Right up front I have to admit I'm biased - I adore everything about Sociale. I love that it is discreetly tucked at the end of a little walkway that takes you by a flower store. I enjoy that Sociale has an outdoor patio, a banquet room for larger groups, and a very sweet cafe-style indoor dining option where I... More

This was a recommendation from our concierge and very impressed. A lovely little restaurant set back from the main road. Meals were of a very good standard and service was very attentive. Wine seemed a little pricey but very nice. We both felt it should be higher rated within trip advisor compared to other places we have seen and been... More
