We found this place on our last night in SF. We were tired and hungry but didn't know where to go. We went as it was near our hotel (Nikko) and it was lovely. The decor lovely, great menu, friendly staff and the food delicious!

The food was the best we had in San Francisco. We were staying around the corner and just happened upon it while walking and I'm so glad we did. Best naan bread ever.

Very elegant interior with super tall ceilings and columns. You really could not tell from the outside. What a pleasant surprise to find such an authentic and well established Indian restaurant so close to Union Square and the hotels. Food was very flavorful and fresh. One of the best Nan's I have ever had. Excellent and attentive service made this... More

My husband and I visited the restaurant to celebrate my 50th birthday. We had poppadoms first for starter. Both main meals served were delicious! We had lamb korma & chicken tikka masala.Plenty of meat pieces which were not overcooked. The sauces were tasty and looked as if they had not added too much colourings as most Indian restaurants seem to... More

We went as it was opposite our hotel Parc 55. Once inside the restaurant is very large and a lovely interior, not what you'd expect from the outside which gives the impression its small. We were seated at our table and after a period of time we still hadnt had anyone to take even our drinks order to the point... More

New Delhi Restaurant was chosen by my colleagues an due to the close location to our hotel. Despite mixed reviews online, we went and were very impressed. They had something for everybody, including the gluten free, vegetarians, and vegans. They offer a complimentary appetizer of lentil flatbread (almost cracker like) with a sweet red sauce and a spicy green sauce.... More

Appetizers were not particularly appetizing, e.g., the spice flavor profile of the samosas was unbalanced. Stingy servings of rice. Raita was on the verge of spoiling. Mango lassi was OK. Desserts were lackluster. Vegetarian entrees were average and the portions were minuscule. Service was extremely slow, and one of the servers was borderline rude.

Was crazing an Indian whilst in the U.S. This place did not disappoint, curry was nice with well cooked lamb although my girlfriend was less pleased with her chicken. The garlic naan was a bit odd though, tasted more like garlic bread which is not what I am used to. Service was excellent however and I would definitely recommend to... More

My husband and I have been driving cross country and are now in San Francisco. We walked across the street from our hotel and found this little restaurant. We had the lamb kabob, shrimp curry, garlic naan and Indian iced tea. It was all very good and filling.

Thank Deborah S
