This restaurant came highly recommended by Trip Advisor reviews and San Fran natives that we asked. I love Dim Sum and was so excited to bring my family here. While the dim sum and service was good enough, the prices were over the top. I think this is the most expensive dim sum I have ever eaten. Also, the patrons... More

We visited on a Saturday lunch time as a family of four. This was amongst my favourite dim sum experiences ever. The food was delicious, service speedy and friendly, and having called ahead meant we got a table after just a short wait. Very highly recommended.

I love dim sum and wanted to introduce my kids to dim sum. Yank Sing didn't disappoint. My kids loved all the food options and the carts with food came in a timely manner. I wish we had seen the menu of cart items before we sat down so we could have narrowed down some of our choices, but everything... More

We really enjoyed our dim sum brunch at Yank Sing on Stevenson Street. Really amazing dumplings and the best tea I've ever had. My daughter is a vegetarian and they stopped by with special dumpling choices just for her which was very nice. Top notch service and very friendly. Definitely make a reservation as this place can get very crowded... More

It is easy to get lost in the endless variety of dishes on the dim sum carts. But they are all delicious. I like the pork dumplings and anything with shrimp!

So many things to choose from, it's hard to decide and then harder to stop ordering. Be sure you're hungry before going and prepare to try several interesting small plate menu items. Seems over priced for the quantities but a worthwhile experience.

The dim sum here is really really good. And really really expensive. $120 for three (we didn't have any alcohol). Loved the crab claws. The service is fast - you keep saying yes, yes, yes, and before you know it you have a table full of delicacies. There is a menu with prices, and it pays to take a look... More

Once you get seated it's a deluge of dim sum delicacies. Service is fast so be prepared. Be careful to note the prices in order to avoid a surprise--we were offered the sea bass over and over again, and it's pricier than the other items. A fun experience.

I was "all in" when I heard they have pork soup dumplings. Not as good as Joe's Shanghai in NY, but a great meal nonetheless. All kinds of tasty Dim Sum. Pass on the satay and veggie dumplings. Loved the duck pancakes with hoisin sauce also. Needed a long walk back to the hotel after this meal as the servers... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
