We sometimes drive from our home (3 hours away) just to eat here. In 2015 we even ate Thanksgiving dinner at the Daily Grill. We have eaten lots of dishes off the menu, but the chicken potpie has to be a family favorite. Staff is always nice and attentive, and food is always delicious. While it can be pricey, the... More

This looked like a great spot; the menu looked nice, affiliated with a nice hotel, nice decor. The waiter introduced himself and his trainee and then rushed us from that moment on. He was not the right person to be training anyone! Including cocktails we were out in 50 minutes from when we sat down.

We are a family of five, first time in San Fran. This was a restaurant just round the corner from our hotel. Seated very quickly. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was good and the menu had a good choice. Great place to eat.

We really loved the Food at the Daily Grill. The servings were big so plan to share unless you're hungry. We tried the Fish and Chips which was a super crisp fresh tasting fish fillet with fries and slaw with a hint of Cilantro (very yummy!), the crab cakes where not heavy on the breading and nicely cooked, the Chicken... Kind of a “classic” feel to the place, we had a large comfortable booth for lunch. Service was attentive and knowledgable without hovering. I had a combo lunch—cup of soup and 1/2 sandwich. Soup was excellent, sandwich tasty. Other entree was trout, perfectly prepared, flaky and excellent taste. It wasn’t very busy for lunch, not sure what dinners are like,... More

The Daily Grill near Union Square in San Francisco is not the best restaurant you can visit in San Francisco or even in the Union Square/Theatre District area. However if you are are looking for a quick meal or a pre-theatre bite, The Daily Grill "fits the bill". They claim that all of their specialty of comfort food is home... More

Staying at the Handlery, we entered via our hotel lobby, but there is also a street entrance. Whilst busy, we were made very welcome. One of the house specialities, meatloaf was delicious, and the sides available were all delicious. Good, homely food, served really well.

We came here on our first night in San Francisco, took a waitress over 15 minutes too come over, and instead of taking our order (even for drinks) she just chatted away then walked off, it then took a further 10 minutes for someone else to come over and take our order with no apology for how long we'd been... Had our breakfast here each morning as part of the booking and was lovely and set us up for the day. Had dinner once and again lovely food. I would recommend the Daily Grill for both breakfast and dinner.
