Was taken here by a vendor for a business lunch. The sushi was great and the food was the right amount. Service was a little slow feeling though.

I visited on a Thursday evening with a group of 8. We managed to get a table without booking, but the restaurant was busy. The ambience was good. They had an electronic music playing, which was great. I was visiting California from England and the sushi was much better than I've experienced in England for equivalent value. The portions were... We’ve been there with a large group and ordered different items to share, amongst them: Garlic Soy Edamame, Pyramid of Tartare, Lost in Forest, Karagge, Rainbow Maki, Toshi Koshi Roll, Super Dynamite Roll, Dragon Roll and a few others. All looked a bit different to conventional sushi & sashimi. Also it tasted a bit different, but definitely very good. They... More

Blowfish sushi is not your typical sushi joint. Besides the standard sushi & maki, the food is more "festive". Lots of really nice fusion dishes. And excellent cocktails as well! Judging from the filled tables, I'm not the only one who loves their food. I recommend it.

I had heard about Blowfish for a long time, but I didn't have the opportunity to eat there until last night as a birthday gift. First thing that hit me was how beautiful the restaurant was inside...warm, inviting and textural. The hostess was smiling and friendly. Our server was knowledgeable and very open to asking the chef for a few... More

I absolutely love Blowfish! The restaurant itself has a very cool, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for friends or impressing colleagues. The food was flawless; beautiful, delicate sushi, hand rolls, salads, oysters, fried chicken, sorbet, cheesecake, we tried it all! The sea urchin (from the specials board) was a highlight. Great selection of teas and sake. Staff are attentive (but not too... More

Good quality sushi in a modern, upscale environment. A more Americanized experience than you would get on the Ginza, Blowfish Sushi gives diners a California-influenced take on the traditional Japanese delicacy. With a vibe that is closer to a nightclub than a restaurant, Blowfish Sushi may not be for everyone: dark-ish interior, loud music, Japanese manga porn playing on screens... More

Dined here on 10/31/15 with some friends...We ordered a lot of different small plates and 4 or 5 sushi rolls...EVERYTHING was amazing, my favorite was the Super Dynamite sushi roll and the Pyramid or Tartare served with home made chips!!!

I used to eat here more. One day I sat at the bar and was about to order when I saw several flies enjoying themselves on slabs of fish in the fish cooler. The sushi chefs were oblivious or didn't care... Neither of which appealed to me. None of the people sitting at the tables have any idea whether the... More
