Went with a party of 5 to Il Borgo on Saturday prior to a ballet performance. Fantastic food and way more authentic than the pricey Americanized restaurants closer to the opera house. Great service, Great prices and great ambiance with respect to the decor. The only minor downside was a very large and loud party behind us which made it... More

As we love Italian food, we were very pleased to have found "il borgo". Real Italian owners making genuine Italian food in the way it has to be served. Everything homemade and the size of the portions was normal. You can eat what you order. We had a very nice evening.

Friendly, attentive service by a native Italian. We enjoyed hearing Italian spoken (even though we don't). The wine, appetizers and entrees were all brought quickly and we cleaned all the plates!

What a charming neighborhood Italian restaurant! Great ambiance, food and service. We ordered different kinds of pasta, pizza and wine. Also a good place to talk and relax. Came home stuffed and happy!! With lots of extra left over food. 😘 will definitely want to go back and visit again.

This restaurant was recommended as a must try by a friend. We couldn't agree more. It's tucked into a small corner location in a condo residential area- not in Little Italy where most of the restaurants recommended by our hotel were located. It is quaint and has the feel of being in Italy. At 9 pm on a Saturday it... More

Checking Italian food in the area, we found this place. The restaurant is very Italian, the staff is Italian and obviously the food is authentic Italian. We order 2 pizzas, Napolitana and Quatro Statione, both were delicious. We were treat like a proper Italian restaurant : in a rush! 😀 We paid 60$ per 2 pizzas , Bottle of wine... More

We were delighted to find a place as authentic and reminiscent of our recent trip to Italy! This small quaint restaurant is delightfully modest with great food, service and feast for the senses. We started with a bottle of Barbera red wine, bruschetta, split an order of caprese salad, and had orders of lobster ravioli and penne pasta puttanesca (olives... More

My wife & I had dinner with another couple on Saturday 9 April. This was our second visit to this small family run Italian restaurant. We had a 5:15PM reservation and the restaurant quickly filled in shortly after we arrived. This is obviously a popular local eatery. My wife ordered the Penne E Funghi Salsiccie $13, our friends ordered the... More

My friends and I visited here last weekend. We all got different things, and we all loved everything. Their home-made bread is amazing, their wine bottles are a GREAT price, and the food is all homemade including the pasta. I would definitely recommend it for families or for a couple on a date.

We had a delicious pre-theatre meal here. The atmosphere is authentic but unpretentious Italian. The food was delicious (I recommend the lobster ravioli) and wine by the glass was a reasonable price compared to other restaurants we visited. Friendly staff.
