Went here with friends from work. There isn't a lot of seating room but other than that is a great place to eat. We all had pizza and my friends for drinks and it was barely $60. Would definitely do it again. Pizza was hand made and tasty.

This is a local home-style Italian eatery with so-so atmosphere and average food. We had the linguine with clam sauce and it was just average and a very creamy with a white sauce and wide linguine noodles. It wasn't exactly what I expected but still somewhat enjoyable. Clams were not in shell. Service was OK.

We can back to our room after a full day of walking around San Francisco and my friend was not hungry so I grabbed a menu on the way by and called in an order. It only took about 30 minutes and I had a hot fresh pizza. The prices were pretty good by San Francisco standards - about $12... More

I don't understand the hype around this place. The pizza was average at BEST, but I was sat by the restroom and simply wish I had gone elsewhere. Would not return.

The restaurant is a few blocks from where we are staying. We both love pizza and a good stone baked base - the pizza here was terrible. The base could be mistaken for a frozen base and the toppings (all veg) were raw and went cold really quick! My partner had the mountain which had sausage and pepperoni and same... More

A basic pizza place near union square, very close to marriott, hyatt and sie francis drake hotel. Good for a nice simple bite. Basic variety of pizza, different sizes, calzones, pasta, sandwiches and also soup of the day. Choice of drinks available. Easy on the pocket also. Do visit when in the mood of a simple italian meal.

We were told by the bellman at our hotel that this was the best pizza in San Francisco. We went and ordered the daily special pizza and a calzone. Pizza toppings were delicious but the crust was pretty bland and not much flavor. Calzone was far better than the pizza. Prices were very reasonable.

Uncle Vito's seems like the kind of place that locals might pop in for a pizza or pasta. It's not at all pretentious with a fairly small number of tables "cozily" close together. I was in the mood for pizza and ordered a personal size with 4 toppings. I started with a house salad. The romaine was fresh and crisp... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
