Had our first breakfast in SF after 7 years away and it was fabulous. Service was very warm, friendly and informative and the vibes in the restaurant was great. We got lucky and was seated immediately and after we came, there were 10 people in the queue. Fantastic omelettes and everyone was very friendly and nice. Superb quality, not expensive... More

Breakfast is hard to screw up, but hard to make memorable. I had raspberry banana rice flour pancakes, boar sausage and eggs. Amazing! Solid coffee as well. Was $30 bucks for my meal and definitely well portioned. No need for lunch!

Located in a questionable area of San Francisco is this truly unique diner. There can be a wait depending upon what time you arrive. Very popular on Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast and lunch only. You will not be disappointed.

Had breakfast Dottie's on a friends recommendation. I'm a firm believer that you pay for quality, and the quality of the food and ingredients used is very apparent in both the taste and price of the food. This place isn't catering to the Denny's Grandslam crowd lol, however I have to say $30+tip out the door is a little steep... More

The volume and overall level of reviews for this place says it all. The atmosphere and menu are excellent. Service was also great. Highly recommended if you in the area and hungry for breakfast or lunch. Tip - get there early on the weekends or wait in a lineup that stretches around the corner.

With the recommendation from our hotel ( Marriott marquis)- we went for breakfast. Get there early ! Opens at 7:30a. We got there a little bit before they opened on a weekday and there was a small line already. Everything was delicious. Service was great. The walk there was a bit sketchy from our hotel (quite a bit of homeless)-... More

Such a great meal! The service is very good. The decor is really cool. The food is unbelievable. Make sure someone in your party gets the pancakes. I had the Southwestern Omelette. Best. Ever. Worth the wait. We went Friday at 11am and had a 20 minute wait. Just do it.

During our trip to San Francisco after reading reviews on TA and getting recommendation in our hotel, we decided to visit Dottie’s True Blue Café for breakfast. Our first attempt was unsuccessful. We came around 8:30-9am. The line was huge! And area where restaurant located is not nice. Homeless people are everywhere; the area is very dirty and smelly that... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
