My family took me out for lunch here while I was out visiting. The chicken wings were delicious! Definitely plan to come back next time I’m in San Francisco.

I come here for the wings all the time. They are the best in the city and nothing can top them! It does get busy all the time and waiters are a little aggressive if you are in their way but that's because a million...More

It's true, normally I don't do chicken wings, no bones for me thank you very much. However, I slightly reluctantly gave them a try as they are a speciality at San Tung. Oh wow, wow, wow! To die for. The rest of the food was...More

The ORIGINAL DRY FRIED CHICKEN WINGS yielded a split decision at our table; my wife thought they were rocking, but they were simply too unrelentingly sweet for me. The fry guy at San Tung obviously knows what he's doing. The wings were very lightly battered...More

Janet F
We Just ate thee yesterday after hearing such great reviews. To avoid the lunch crowds we arrived jright before opening at 11:20 a.m. I was so anxious to try the famous Dry Fried Chicken wings with garlic, ginger and red peppers with the sweet sticky sauce. Unfortunately they were “DRY”. The meat was minimal on the drummetes and wings, over cooked and sauce was fair. Perhaps since they were double fried, they may have been previously fried at another time. My niece gave me the “knock-off” copycat recipe and we both made it and they were superior. My friends mentioned that the quality of all the food has gone down.. possibly from all the attention. The black bean sauce noodles with beef, shrimp and calamari was also tasteless as well small in portion size. The shrimp and leek dumplings were nothing special too. We tried to mix the condiments of soy sauce, vinegar and chilies to enhance the taste of the dumplings. A good dumpling doesn’t need to have condiments to doctor them up. There are many other Chinese restaurants in San Francisco serving much better than San Tung. I would not return back there nor recommend it. :(
