We stopped in for breakfast at the Java House and found this to be very quaint. Food was good, hot and fast. It is pretty much self service but the nice thing it is right on the water front and just down from ATT Park. It only serves breakfast & lunch.

If you want a place to take a large group after the game, check out Red's. A great bar in the back with a huge patio right on SF bay with a view of Berkeley and Oakland. The food is simple and well priced and service is good. It can get chilly while outside, so bring a jacket. It's a... More

Strolling around the piers in San Francisco and came across this place. No nonsense - just traditional burger and hotdogs at their best - must be bouncing on a baseball match day with AT&T just along the road..

Red's Java House basically hasn't changed much in the years I've gone there for a great breakfast and super views of the Bay. They have a scrambled egg dish that they've been serving for decades that is tasty and sticks to your ribs. Try it. Also serve up hot dogs and burgers. Many locals bike there just to enjoy the... Stopped in here for breakfast before the afternoon ball game at AT&T. Food was very tasty, plentiful and priced right. Lots of people stopping by before the ball game. Both outside and inside seating. Would eat here again

Had breakfast here and it was a great place for an early morning, no-nonsense breakfast of eggs and toast and good strong coffee.

Off the beaten path. Nice to get away from all the cheesy tourist places. Good atmosphere and jazz music on the patio. Well worth the walk

I was fully expecting a divey kind of place, but thought the food would be good and that the place would be fun. Wrong. I asked for a breakfast by y mistake. The answer was we don't have that. Not would you like the quesadilla. Same thing when I asked for home fries - the answer was we don't have... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
