I have been here several times with decent meals but most recently It was disappointing on a Sunday night pre-theater. The quantum Merlot 2010 was terrific and reasonably priced, medium to full body with nice like spice flavorful; good with chicken or meat but also with spicy fish. The coconut crusted shrimp were overcooked and almost burned black and came... More

We came into the city to try a new place. The wine flights is a great lure and the wine selection was decent. I would stick to the appetizers and share a main dish or two. Unfortunately, my salad and main were very mediocre. For the price, ambiance and location of the bathroom I would not recommend First Crush.

Enjoyed my meal here (actually two appetizers) as well as a wine flight. But overall, it wasn't the greatest. After going here, we restaurant hopped - went to another wine bar and then a sushi place, so obviously we didn't feel the overall feel here was satisfying enough for a full meal. OTOH, the scallops appetizer we had was tasty... More

My sister had receed a gift certificate to First Crush and wanted to take us out to dinner. We had a party of five and were the first people to be seated in the dining room. We ordered drinks and asked for limes for our sparkling water. No limes. What fine dining restaurant does not have limes. We were served... More

Having to do yet another trade show in San Francisco Moscone center, I was moving slowly to my hotel and noticed the First Crush Restaurant. It was just opening at 5PM so I went in for a glass (or two) of Wine before getting to the hotel and its restaurant. This place is GREAT! First the wine selection is wide... More

Every time we come to SF we go to First Crush. Every time we go to First Crush we have a really good meal and wine. This time was no exception. Their CA wine list is extensive and each time we go I find another wine I REALLY like! Their lamb lollipop appetizer was my main course...4 chops with just... More

Catching up with friends on a short visit to SF - this was around the corner from our Hotel. Staff was very accommodating and the wine flights were a fun way to try a few options of our favourite varietals.

Excellent food, but pricey as is all of San Francisco. Needed reservations, but got right in at our reserved time. Friendly staff. I had the lobster mac and cheese...yummy! Not a lot of items on the menu, but something for everyone I think. Close to Hilton San Francisco Union Square motel. Wine menu is great!

My son and I went to dinner here. Excellent food. Small, but cozy atmosphere. Unhurried and relaxed service.
