We visited here for dinner on a Sunday evening. They do not take reservations so you have to turn up and hope for the best. This was our third attempt in as many days to get a table. We had to wait 45 minutes but as there was a free table outside to sit at we decided to wait. Once... More

Visited on Saturday night around 7pm. Had a 20 minute wait for a table as we'd not booked but glad we got there when we did as the wait time increased to about 45 mins - popular place! Pizza was very nice and friendly staff. Cosy and intimate restaurant. A good find.

We walked to this restaurant from Ritz Carlton hotel. Up hill getting there, down hill going back. My granddaughter ordered pesto and it was very good. My veal was tender and actually very good. For the price, this was much better than expected. We arrived there about 6pm and it filled up quickly. By the time we left, people were... More

Small, Italian neighborhood restaurant a short walk from the Fairmont and Mark Hopkins on Nob Hill. Not impressive on the outside, but on the inside is where it counts. Terrific dishes from their pasta to the veal to the fish. We all couldn't have been more pleased and highly recommend to anyone staying nearby.

We had a wonderful dinner. The veal piccata was excellent and I got steamed vegetables with it instead of the pasta and it was a very good choice. The chicken parmeson was good as well. The hostess met us outside as it was very busy but she was very helpful and pleasant. A very good experience.

We found this place while walking back to our hotel one night. Judging from the smell and the amount of people inside, we decided to return for dinner the following night. What a great decision this was! While we did have to wait for a table, the hostess was happy to get us glasses of wine to enjoy outside. The... More

Small and very busy Italian restaurant populated by tourists and locals alike. The restaurant is small and cozybut the atmosphere is divine. Dying to hear twice on our recent trip to San Francisco and will plan to return when we get a chance to visit the city again. The daily specials had a good variety of fish, spaghetti and meatballs,... More

Honesty not terrible but not amazing. Chicken parm dinner was different but ok. Tons of cheese so made it a bit better. Service was really friendly and the dessert was enjoyable. Down side was sitting in the front area with constantly slamming dishes right next to the table from the staff.

Thought the food was exquisite and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Big queue outside. I would definitely recommend the Kahlua toffee bar gelato cheese cake.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
