Great food, staff, and atmosphere. Oysters, clams, fish dish, chicken dish, and bottle of wine was all so amazing. Trendy semi-classy atmosphere was very welcoming. Attentive staff with awesome personality. I would definitely return when I am in the area.

We always include Farallon when we take our yearly trip to the Bay Area. This time we only give 4 stars because I wasn't prepared to have the Dungeness crab still in its shell. I'm as fond of cracked crab as any west coast denizen, but not when I have to do the cracking with hollandaise all over my hands.... More

This is a nice place to stop in after a day of shopping in union square. They have great oysters and crab cocktail. The decor is unique and beautiful.

A restaurant with a fascinating decor and open kitchen and shelling station! Tables are well laid out. A reasonably expensive menu. We shared a sturgeon appetizer with horseradish sauce, then a halibut filet and a sable dish that were both excellent. Nice wine choices, then the sorbet trio. Pear sorbet was delicious ! Service great!

I've found this restaurant to be rather cold and reserved over several visits. The food is quite good, if killingly expensive. But it just doesn't feel welcoming to me.

The oysters here are to die for and if you are in the mood for seafood you would be hard pressed to find somewhere better than Farallon. The wine selection is also great including a few flight choices that pair well with dinner.

Plastic jellyfish hanging in this 'underwater' themed restaurant presumably is meant to distract from the very average food served without humour. Not recommended.

I can still remember the amazing taste of the food and desert. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. Only Amazing out of this world food.

Fresh seafood and good service. Under water detail gorgeous decor, nice atmosphere. Pricy but worth it for a special night with special someone. Only enjoying as a bar is great too.
