This is an old-fashioned neighborhood diner. Lots of wood paneling, waiters with white aprons, closely placed booths and tables, lots of happy, noisy people. The bar is a destination, so around happy hour and early evening, the place is packed. Make reservations if you want...More

My wife and I went to lunch today (a Saturday) at Tadich’s with a long time friend today and as usual the seafood was excellent and there was the pleasure of returning to a place we’ve long enjoyed. Our connection to the Bay Area goes...More

This restaurant has been a San Francisco icon for 162 years (yes, 162) and talk about continuity, the servers average 33 years at Tadich. The menu is very large (over 75 entrées served daily) specializing in seafood, but there are also great steak entrees. The...More

Traveled to San Francisco to catch an Alaskan cruise. Just had to introduce my wife to an old favorite. Yes, the wait can be long since the Tadich Grill does not take reservations. Happily, the bar staff still knows how to pour a good drink...More

Usually the food is excellent in a more old style restaurant in downtown San Francisco with atmosphere and history. Almost every trip to the Tadich the food is excellent, esp. the seafood. Recommend the fresh fish. Though the last trip food and service was lacking.

Great visit. Things you need to know. First; no reservations; first come first serve. Go to bar to register your name. There will most likely be a line. Second; plan on a drink from the bar. Paul; was our bartender. Bravo, very good bar skills....More

Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but
can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s
version of Wall Street. The rush of business people
make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of
life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the
narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of
historic and contemporary architecture, including the
iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,
