This was the most less than mediocre, bland, overrated food I've had in ages. I cannot stress enough how blah and disappointing their food tastes. Their service is completely below par (and we had delivery! It's not rocket science). I am not sure where this flavorful and delicious food is coming from in all of the other reviews but we... More

This place is so cool and big enough so that even when it is crowded you feel relaxed. Headline - No MSG, this is huge for me plus the food is awesome and you can ask for it to be as spicy as you want. I tend to go alone so I like sitting at the counter and watching the... More

I can't say that the food is terrible, it is normal, regular Asian food. My option included shrimp that was a little bit overcooked. Tea was a dirty water, tasteless. And the place is noisy, not because anything in special but because the owner, he shout to every single waiter, the cook makes a lot of noise when preparing food,... More

Staying in San Francisco, this place was recommended. It was a great recommendation. The dumplings were fresh and tasty. The shrimp dish was also extremely fresh and if you like spicy you can get it there. Medium would be very very spicy and we ordered halfway between mild and medium (we live on the south Texas border and are used... More

I usually visit when I'm tired and don't want to venture far from the hotel. The food is always consistent and good and the staff polite. It's quick, fast and easy. I recommend for cheap and non fussy food.

So we went there for lunch and ordered off the lunch combo which allows you to select the meat choice. Don't try to do a lot of substitution because they don't allow it. Also if you don't eat meats or chick the soup is made with chicken broth. I ordered the Kung pow shrimp with a mild spice. It was... More

local friends suggested this on our trip to SF. It's best described as a local dive with average Hunan style food.

After choosing this place on the basis of the trip advisor reviews, we were disappointed. Upon arrival; I wondered whether this place was thriving on reputation rather than quality , my suspicions turned out to be correct. Steamed dumpling were a little under seasoned, and a couple were undercooked. The Chicken Gon-pou, flavours were uninspiring, and the chicken tough and... More

Returned here after many years away and found it to be just as good as I remembered. My wife had the best General's Chicken that either one of us had ever had. Fried dumplings were also terrific with a sauce that had just the right amount of heat. My son had Brandy's Dinner (beef, scallops, shrimp, veggies) and it was... More

We booked this after looking at the TA reviews. The service was friendly and efficient and the food came pretty quickly but at the end they did not rush to get us out. The food was very good and try the house specials. Plenty of flavour and the quantities were also quite generous. The only downside was the lack of... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
