Took my daughter (a foodie) that usually doesn't care for "standard" menu restaurants. She was completely blown away by the menu and options from this well known establishment. This was my wife and my third visit and each time we have enjoyed some of the best food and wines in a very plush environment. Totally enjoyed our time there and... More

It was our first night in San Francisco and we reserved this restaurant as it was not too far from our hotel. Situated between Steuart St. and The Embarcadero, this Mission St. restaurant affords a nice view of the Bay Bridge from its' rear window. The inside is a lovely ambiance of curved-brick ceiling between dark wood beams over tables... More

It was a wonderful experience, from the service to the dessert. It will be a must stop in all my visits to San Francisco. Jenny the waitress ,was impeccable with the service and with all the suggestions.

Thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet food and price experience in a fine dining atmosphere. There were four of us and we shared two appetizer dishes (fried calamari and the scallops). Three of us had the Halibut and it was WONDERFULLY prepared and one of us had the Lamb Chops which were cooked to medium rare perfection. Wine list is a little... More

Pricey, but very good. Spot on recommendations from the waiter and sommelier. The scallops for starter and pork for main were superb.

Nice restaurant, was very good food. I had wild halibut with red potatoes and it was melting in my mouth. small portion, a little expensive but excellent food is always pricey.

We are in the City quite often and there are some fantastic places to dine. We had been here before and had fabulous food. This night was maybe an off night? The person seating us had a bit of an "attitude" when I made a request. So it started off a bit strange. Maybe they were having a bad night?... More

Creative menu which focuses on excellence. Our group began with appetizers...scallops, foie gros and ahi carpaccio. Each was inventive and excellent. The angus filet was cooked to perfection (medium rare) accompanied by flavorful sautéed mushrooms, broccolini and potato gratin. It. Was. Heavenly. I skipped dessert and opted for a fabulous glass of port, but the rest of our group ordered... More

If you want to feel special and enjoy a large selection of new and old world wines with food that surpasses expectations , come here without hesitation. This restaurants has among a handful of other a wait staff who are not afraid to engage in conversation with guests but know when their presence is not required. The staff was very... More

One of the best dinners we've had in years. The menu is still stylish and sophisticated without pushing for the rather bizarre combinations that many high-end restaurants go for these days (no stuff like sardine quenelles with blueberries and yuzu chicken liver foam). The ambience has a vague resemblance to a rather grand 19th century French establishment. We took a... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
