We had breakfast in this diner and they easily accommodated our party of 11. The food was excellent. I had a Mexican omelette which was exceptional. Friendly and efficient service.

We knew we were at a great place when there was a line waiting for this restaurant to open! We all ordered omelets, which were delicious! Great service and a ton of food, so plan on having left overs!

Prompt serving, massive breakfast. It seems like a place for locals as well. I had the omelette and was defeated after about half of it. Really wanted to come back for dinner but it shuts quite early.

The City has an almost endless number of great restaurants and this neighborhood gem in North Beach should be the first stop for the burger aficionado. Made to order, delicious, and filling. Top marks for service. Oh, and milkshakes to remember, too. We'll be making repeat visits.

The spicy sausage is soooo yummy and potatoes and the steak is seasoned so good idk what they put on it but ahhhh I wish I could bring them in my kitchen... More

We were on our way to another restaurant we had read about called Mama's for breakfast. That place had a HUGE LONG line out the door. Probably over an hour wait for sure. I'm sure it must be good to have that line, but we didn't want to wait. Luckily for us, just across the street and a little up... More

From the bar stools to the decor, thematic. The food portions were extremely large. My slice of apple pie was huge. The wait staff were friendly. The Baileys milkshake was to die for. You must find this and chow down.

The stop to Mo's was fun. Excellent friendly service, charbroiled rotary grill and fresh food. Fun place and worth the effort to find. Looks like a local favorite and they took good care of the 3 of us during our Sunday visit. Will go again when in the area as a nice change.

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
