But very good Chinese food for the price. Very fresh ingredients -- and I found the sizzling seafood platter done to perfection and with the extra hotness I requested (hot red peppers sizzled in with it) particularly to my liking.

We ordered potstickers first......, then realized they were homemade - a real rarity! And boy, were they good. We shared Mongolian beef as our shared main course and noticed no gristle at all in the perfectly prepared, seasoned beef. Although as the placed got packed the wait staff was flying all over the place, our waiter didn't mind us slowing... More

We got in here by chance, when their line moved a bit faster than the place across the street. It was worth the visit. Nothing exotic, but just basic good Chinatown food. Service was a bit above what I'm used to in other Chinatown places. Every dish, starting with the soup, was tasty and well prepared.

It's a small hole-in-the-wall kind of place in China Town that serves up some very good cuts of beef and chicken in your usual plates of Chinese food for a very reasonable price. My SO and I were very fond of everything we tried: hot & sour soup, green onion beef, kung pao chicken, and vegetable fried rice. The drink... More

This restaurant is not a true authentic Chinese Restaurant, but rather a Chinese restaurant that caters to tourists. For those of you that enjoy standard Chinese fare, sweet and sour, Mongolian beef, chow mein etc., the food is fresh, hot, and tasty. This isn't the place to go for a dining adventure. This is a popular restaurant and one has... More

Went here on recommedation from web sites. This place is adapted to American palate flair. Had Chow Mein which was very good, pot stickers were excellent, chicken with orange peel which was way to sweet. Portions were little skimpy.

The food was average and service slow. We arrived early afternoon and still had a 15 minute wait. I was hopeful initially that it would be good Chinese food based on the ratings however it was nothing special and any other restaurant in China town would have been equal to it . We had shredded jelly, boiled dim sum, fish... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
