Great food - A Restaurant that has been around a long time

We really enjoyed our dinner. We started with a Hamachi appetizer that we all enjoyed. My Boyfriend and I split a salad and split the Pork Chop.....So glad we did as the salad was large and so tasy and the pork chop was delicious. We really enjoyed the meal. My friends Salmon was not cooked... read more

Our most recent visit to Elite Cafe was another wonderful treat. They now feature Fried Chicken and Blues on Monday nights. The recipes are authentic and the flavorings are bold just like you would find in New Orleans. The Jambalaya is rich and flavorful. Don't forget to save room for the beignets for desert if they are available. The private... More

Best coffee in USA! Home made green sauce on Huevos Rancheros. Big screen TV, booths and Bloody Mary's the way they should be. More you ask? OK, the Staff, not only do they care, they're really and good at it. Recommended for any of the following; Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or just watch a game.

The private booths along the edge of the room are unique and provide a quieter setting. The bar is gorgeous and turned out one of the best Bloody Marys I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned and generously garnished. The shrimp and grits with chorizo came drizzled with an excellent sauce. I finished every bite! The Eggs Benedict was exceptional also.... More

Delicious southern - cajun & low country influenced - food. Started with the biscuits and some low country shrimp. Mains were a blackened pork chop that was delicious along with a crawfish penne pasta. Both were very well prepared and delicious. Enjoyed the live music (jazz trio). Definitely a place to return to.

Red Beans and rice was great. Collards were very undercooked. Oysters looked tempting. It is not as Cajun as it used to be.

The Elite boasts awards as a Cajun restaurant, but the menu seemed confused. The main meals were OK but nothing special, but clearly this restaurant hasn't won its reputation by its desserts which were terrible. We had the Cobbler which was dry, over cooked and tasteless. While the vibe and interior is good, for us the food just didn't match... More

I had not been here in years but glad to see they still have the cozy booths and fresh oysters. The Manhattan was fantastic and the biscuits were tiny but delicious. The fresh trout entrée was perfectly done and we especially like the sides of collard greens and the cauliflower.

If you want an evening drinking cocktails and listening to some good live music, this might be the place for you. But the other drinks are disappointing (no wines from Napa or Sonoma county on the list) and it was hard to find anything truly tempting to eat on the menu. Added to which the portions are on the small... More
