Great Beef brisket. Serving size is OK for two Germans who need good food during lunch break. Surrounding is a bit strange but I was in this place 22 years ago with my parents on my first trip to the US and still remembered the name. So, it was a must to check if Tommy's Joynt is still in business.... More

Popped in for a late lunch and was massively impressed. Friendly staff, great homely atmosphere, suitably large portions of excellently cooked meat. Would definitely recommend, and I also want to come try the bar in the evening as the whiskey and beer selections look very good too

My wife and I loved everything about Tommy's Joynt. The staff is great and entertaining. The food is FANTASTIC! The portions are large so plan on bringing a doggy bag home. My wife ordered chicken and rice and I ordered turkey and rice both meals with gravy. Planning on visiting again on our next visit to San Francisco

Brisket with BBQ was awesome and was the chili and rice. If I lived here it would be one of my favorite places. Cool decorations too.

Authentic place, tasty food and fair prices. Loved this place. The buffalo chilli was delicious and the turkey too. Lots of good stuff, the place is full with locals chatting and watching baseball and basketball games on the TV. Great atmosphere!

Weird bar/restaurant. They have a cafeteria style food line on one side and a bar on the other. We had a roast turkey meal with stuffing and mashed potatoes. It was hearty fare with a Tommy's Lager. All good, but don't bring a first date here.

My husband had eaten at Tommy's on a previous visit to San Francisco and he was anxious to go back....he liked it that much. And I can see why. This is a place where big, hearty sandwiches are done right, and there is often a line nearly out the door of customers anxious to fill their stomachs with the hearty... More

My family learned of Tommy's Joynt via Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We were anxious to try it out, but the kids were a bit disappointed. Tommy's Joynt serves old-fashioned huge hunks of meat with bread and potatoes. I liked it, but it is not for the faint of heart or those who are watching their calories.

The food is great and there is a diverse selection of meats all on display as they cut and server the meals to you as you select which you want to eat. Much like a catered buffet line, pay and choose a seat to enjoy your meal. A waitress will come by to take a drink order.

We went here for dinner last night. The food was delicious. Portions were generous, and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be back for more!
