Great wings and cozy back patio. Beer section was great! Came in a cold glass and coaster. I had the wings and was blown away.

We were visiting the city from Chicago and had to watch the Cubs - Giants 2016 playoff's. Someone suggested this place as an Iconic San Francisco sports bar and they were spot on! Place had a mix of both Giants and a few Cubs fan and with a pretty good selection of craft beers and pub food we had a... More

For The Premiership this is heaven. Open at 7am for the 3pm UK kickoffs. Big screen for the highlight game and lots of others games on other screens. Seems to be the SF Chelsea fans home pub. Decent breakfast and a great beer line up.

Came here towards the end of my night with a couple friends and had a great time. They played music from the 90's this particular night which was amazing! Only downside is they only sell beer and wine, but it's understandable as permits are very expensive. Loved it and glad we came.

While on vacation on San Francisco, I was terrified to miss a couple of FC Barcelona games because there were no place to watch them, not even on the hotel. Then I found out about The Mad Dog in the Fog and it was like an oasis on the desert. First time I went it was a game that started... More

The worst service ever in my life. The server never looked at us we had to beg for everything. The first time in my life I didn't leave a tip. Just horrible!!

Watched the FA Cup final here and had so much fun partying with the crowd at this Villa stronghold in the Lower Haight. For some reason there was only one bartender and one back on duty for the big game, which made it tough to not go thirsty for periods.

Stopped for a couple of beers, ended up staying for some food. All very good, and the atmosphere was great. Only down side is the service took a bit to get our drinks or food. :-(

Pretty standard bar, wait staff was friendly once I made the effort. Beer selection was average, big screens were available for sporting events. Overall, I would stop in for a cold one again if I was in the neighborhood.

Sports on TWELVE screens for her. Social Distortion and hometown favorite The Dead Kennedys on the jukebox for him. Cider on tap for us non-beer-drinkers. Good place to watch the game or have a drink before heading down the street for dinner.

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighborhood Profile
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighborhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
