This place is clearly a hot spot and for good reason. The food was fantastic and the breakfast was very proportionate. Fantastic food.

Definitely recommended to go there for a nice lunch! I went there for a take away salad. The waiter was very nice and friendly, the food is freshly made infront of your eyes, and its definitely worth the money. I really enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is nice to stay for a coffee too.

Busy week, long lines everywhere so glad we decided to stand in this one. The breakfast was great and the service was good, especially for as busy as things were. I just wish that we had discovered this place earlier in the week!

GREAT breakfast find - not just bakery items but egg dishes as well. Since the nearby Marriott Marquis does not offer menu-driven breakfast any longer - this is a cheaper (and much better) alternative.

Excellent bakery and decent coffee and salads. Next to Yerba Buena Gardens offers outside small tables in the shade. Clean, fast, efficient and not over priced. A place to come back when you are in "The Culture" ...

I am not into copious breakfast. Some milk, a butter croissant and a tea will do. So why pay more than 20 dollar in your hotel, while you get the same for about 7 dollar in La Boulange? Their butter croissant is far much better than the one I had in the hotel. However, compared to the 'croissant au beurre'... More

My husband and I came in for a quick pastry breakfast and coffee on a Saturday morning. The pastries are very tasty and were less greasy than those at other bakeries. They also have a pretty good variety of macarons that can be boxed as gifts. We ordered 1 drip coffee and 1 specialty latte, both were quite good, though... More

We stayed in the nearby (1-2 minutes walk) Omni hotel for a week, and ate breakfast here every day. Prices for downtown SF are reasonable, selection is good. Food servings are good size. Fruit is remarkably good. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you. Unfortunately they are closed on weekends (as are most restaurants in... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
