My husband and I were visiting San Francisco and we were looking for some quick food as we headed back to where we were staying. We saw this restaurant on the corner and decided to pop in. We were quickly greeted as soon as we walked up to the counter. I ordered the chicken nachos and my husband got a... More

We had amazing Mexican food here! Quick service made it an easy "get in/get out" plus they have a salsa bar! Highly recommended!

We stayed across the street @ Metro Hotel. That's a whole different review!! Fantastic hotel. Anyway, we ate at the Little Chihuahua 2 times. Loved both experiences. We're from Texas and we love Mexican food!

Their food is excellent and the dishes are huge (perfect for 2 people). I went there with my boyfriend for two days is a row and we shared enchilladas and burritos. I'm a vegetarian and was completely satisfied with the options. The price is also a plus. On the first day, we paid $21 for a dish, a beer, and... More

Wide variety of Mexican cuisine on the menu to suit everyone. Food is incredible and portions are huge!! We ordered portion of enchiladas each and nachos to share and hardly made a dent! Good value for money. Casual dining experience after a busy day exploring.

The restaurant we had wanted to have dinner at with our four small children could not accommodate us so we walked a block over and found The Little Chihuahua. Every table at the small restaurant was packed, but it was well worth the waiting and hovering to get a spot. My husband and I both had the posole. It was... More

Stopped in for lunch, great little sport near our hotel. the food was good. My co-workers had the salad which looked like the best taco salad I'd ever seen. They raved it's deliciousness. I had shrimp tacos which were good. Also liked the chips, guac and salsa bar. Chipotle salsa was awesome! I'd eat here regularly if I lived in... More

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighborhood Profile
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighborhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
