I went for the coffee and came back for it. It's definitely a notch up from Starbucks. But it annoys me that when you pay card they make you choose 15, 20 or 25% service. For counter service is quite steep.

There was a long queue here where they loving make your coffee. We came as were recommended by a tour guide to visit as apparently it has the best coffee in SF, but I'm not so sure, tasted quite regular to me.

If you're a coffee addict I recommend hunting this place out. We were recommend this place from a barista in Monterey if we needed a hit they knew their moccacino from this macchiatos. Still a smooth blend but well made.

When I lived in the area used to go to this blue bottle every Saturday during the farmers market. Know how long it takes to get a coffee. Happened to be visiting from the east coast and when I went back today to get a drip coffee to recreate my prior experience, could not get one after 15 minutes even... More

There's almost always a line and with good reason, the coffee is great. They really take the time to prepare you a fantastic cup of coffee. As with many busy places you should be prepared to place your order when it's your turn. Altogether it's a pretty cool experience and you come out the end of the line with a... More

The concierge at our hotel told us to seek out the Blue Bottle in the Ferry Building stating that they made the best coffee in San Francisco. Not wanting to doubt the man my wife and I walked the length of Markey street to explore the Ferry Building on our first morning in SF. Blue Bottle was busy with many... More

How this coffee shop gets all this attention is beyond me. Average coffee for above average price. People lining up to get a taste of something new and unique will be surprised by the well marketed ordinary. With such strong interest, you get long lines, brusque service, and a unpleasant feeling of doubt whether all the time and money was... More

I was in a line with what seemed like all the other Australians in San Francisco. Usually a good sign, but it does mean you wait up to 20 minutes just for a coffee, which means it has to be good. Which it is, but not mind-blowing. Look for something else if you're short of time!

Simple selections, but quite a few varied choices. Recommend for an early morning pick-me-up. Beats Peets & starBucks !

Possibly the best hot chocolate of my life! we shared a double chocolate cookie which was great too. The staff is friendly, the open design of the cafe is really nice and plenty of seating. Can get loud as it is next... More
