Breakfast, lunch and dinner: this place has everything including breakfast all day. Beer wine, bloody marys and mimosas awesome.

Bustling spot for lunch downtown. Great salads, healthy sandwiches and savory soups. Good spot for a business lunch or a bite after sightseeing

We went here for lunch, it was quick to get our food, but that was where the good part ended. Value for money is sadly lacking. A small lukewarm grilled cheese with a tiny cup of soup and a lemonade was $19 after taxes. There are a bunch of pretty good food options close by. I would definitely recommend trying... More

We found this place by chance and it was great! There were lots of things from which to chose along with great coffee and tea. Although it's self serve, the staff was friendly and the place was clean. It's very bohemian and quirky at the same time. We really wanted to go back but didn't have time. The lunch menu... More

Ate here while visiting our daughter. We both ordered a Cobb Salad with lemonade and ice tea. You order at the counter, pay then seat yourself. If you want dessert, you can "order it from your table". We sat outside as it was a lovely day. The salad had a large portion of chicken, two half hard boiled eggs, cut... More

I frequent this restaurant with my daughter. The portions are large and the staff friendly and accommodating. I have not had the sandwiches, but they look great and my daughter speaks well of them. I plan on going back often.

My love and I were looking for breakfast with unique choices and a cool vibe. We found both at The Grove. Our first attempt was the location on Mission, and the line was out the door. Rather than attempt to find parking and then wait in line, we drove 5 minutes away to the Hayes St location. We parked right... More

Serving everything from granola to lasagna, this relaxed San Francisco institution is a great place to meet friends or just read the paper on Sunday morning.

My husband and I stumbled upon The Grove while our daughter was auditioning at the nearby Conservatory of Music. It has quickly become my favorite. We have been their multiple times in the past couple weeks! It is a great value, and the food is outstanding. Excellent quality. They serve breakfast all day, and they also serve beer and wine.... Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighborhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
