affordable authentic Japanese food. Friendly staff, quick kitchen. Watch out if you're a vegetarian/vegan or allergic though, and ask for the soups to come without the white/red fish cake (contains shell fish). 36$ with taxes/tips for 2 Udon Soups, a beer and a soda.

Service was fast and efficient. Pretty crowded at lunch and dinner time, but the servers were fast. Was staying over the weekend in sfo and had meals over there and prior trips in before. Good authentic Japanese food. Would recommend the Tonkatsu don. The sashimi were not too bad too. Highly recommended!!!

Small little restaurant but with good selection of food. Inexpensive. Decent portion size. Went twice for dinner on two consecutive nights because the food was so yummy! Oishi! Highly recommended! P/S: This little gem is always busy with people standing in line waiting for a table. Remember to put your name on the waitlist yourself.

We had just landed in San Fran and needed a quick bite . This is right near our union square hotel and we enjoyed the quick service and sushi. The bento boxes looked good though we did not get on this visit. Good casual fast restaurant.

I liked that they had bento and combo options where I could get miso soup, CA rolls, and teriyaki chicken or two choices from a list. We were only one of two tables of non Asian customers, so that is a sign the food is good. They had a nice light atmosphere, but nothing stuffy or pretentious.

This place was amazing! They have the best and authentic Asian food ever. It's a small hole in the wall. I never thought was going to be this good. I noticed it was packed, that was definitely a good sign. The waitress came promptly and the service was excellent. Try to go the second time for dinner and there was... More

Been twice for dinner and both times there have been queues, so bear that in mind if you want to visit. Service is very quick though so it shouldn't be too long a wait. Reasonable prices and the food was pretty good, although nothing special. Found that there were relatively large portions for a Japanese restaurant!

Ducked in randomly at lunch time. Yummy sushi. Inexpensive. Friendly staff. Looks like it may get busy but we sat down right away.

This place is all about the food. Authentic, fresh and not expensive. People stand in line waiting for a table. We've been here multiple times and will go again when in SF
