We sat through a 4 hour dinner - 18 courses of raw smoked fish - including tobacco-smoked fish, hated it. Then raw lamb belly fat. How is serving this even legal. Nothing cooked. No seasonings. The deserts are tasty, and the dinnerware is gorgeous. Don't go for the food or wine. $1000+ a couple

She got 2 Michelin stars recently and I say well deserved. The menu is a poem and is seasonal. She served one prix fixe menu and it's ~$300 before drinks or supplements. Every dish is delicate and a work of art that also tastes amazing. If you can afford it, I would highly recommend it. Restaurant is located on Fillmore... More

From everything my wife and I had seen, read, and heard, we loved Chef Crenn. So it was almost scary to finally have the opportunity to dine at Atelier Crenn. It is the perfect blend of fine dining expectations with a devout San Francisco flair. The poetic menu made sorting out each course an exciting adventure while the nonstop show... More

I had read about this restaurant in San Francisco where the first 2 star female Michelin Chef, Dominique Crenn, was making amazing Art out of food and describing it in beautiful poetry as the menu. We wanted to experience it. We made our reservations six weeks in advance just to get a weekend seating and then planned our trip to... More

The most multi-sensory dining experience I have ever had in my life, anywhere in the world. So sorry that the lame Claremont Hotel failed to launch Dominique's ANTOINETTE. The Claremont is part of the Fairmont chain, owned by a Canadian REIT. Totally lame. Dominique was right to walk. She is an artist.

I enjoyed dinner at Atelier Crenn. A lot of courses reminded me of Japanese food which I like. Bonus of the night was that the chef Dominique Crenn came out from the kitchen to say hello to every single table. I thought it was a very nice gesture. Wine of Reserve Paring was delicious, but I didn’t think it was... More

We had seen the restaurant on Chef's Table, so knew what to expect. Each dish was beautifully presented with unique serving vessels that complimented the theme of a walk in the woods on a summer day. The staff were attentive and cheerfully answered our questions about the food. While I've included many photos, I wouldn't want to spoil the surprises... More

First of all; it was a fantastic experience to dine at Atelier Crenn, and we believe that everyone that is seeking a meal out of the ordinary should visit. The service was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable, and many of the dishes were made by using techniques we'd never seen before. The reserve wine pairing was very good, and the... More

I had Atelier Crenn on my radar screen for some time, but struggled to get past the concept of the menu being a “poem.” I suppose that I have become too conditioned to having (and wanting) the menu to give detail - ingredients used, preparation methods, and even suppliers in many cases. I wanted detail, and found those at Atelier... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
