Make reservations! They are worth the effort. Exceptional service rendered by David. Our antipasto dishes were heirloom tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella cheese. Both were fresh and very tasty and adequate to divide between the party of four. For entrees, we ordered the special, a black pasta (squid ink pasta), ravioli and two flat iron steaks. After sampling all the dishes... More

We were looking up places to eat and after reading the rave reviews we had to try this place out and we were so glad we did. We called and made a reservation and we able to sit at the bar area which has four stools. It is a rather small place but the quality of the food shows their... More

We went for an early dinner after hearing rave reviews and we weren't disappointed. An inventive menu with many daily specials. A nice wine list. Really good service. The raviolo with the poached egg inside was amazing. We all loved our entrees. Give it a try.

My wife and I had dinner here recently and had an amazing meal. It is a small, casual restaurant that just felt comfortable. The service was friendly and professional - couldn't have asked for more. The flavors in everything we ordered were simply amazing. The heirloom tomato salad may be the best we ever had. I ordered the black truffle... More

We truly enjoyed our experience. The good: Locally sourced, home made dishes. A small menu but a number of unique specials added to the options. Good service and many affordable wines to select from. Considerations: Does not have a full bar, beer and wine only. Fine for most people, but it was a surprise for us. This is a small,... More

Well executed Italian, with creative pasta dishes...rather small menu, but enough to choose from...enjoyed the starters (meatballs, really good; salmon just OK; and fried sunchokes and mozzarella Very nice...good dessert, nice pleasant service; a bit too loud with pretty crowded but busy tables.

I booked this restaurant for our silver wedding anniversary celebration, based on the TripAdvisor reviews, and I am so glad that I did. From the moment we walked in we were looked after and the staff were very attentive. The menu choice is small but that is no bad thing as they clearly concentrate on quality rather than quantity. We... More

Excellent Italian cuisine. Their hand made pasta was very good and served with truffles made it an excellent dinner. Nice wine list also. And even-though we arrived late for our reservation, they managed to fix a table for us. Thank you.

We booked on the strength of the reviews and they weren't wrong. First I need to mention the welcome we received which was genuine and warm. All our food choices were good, both the seafood and beef were well (appropriately) cooked with accompaniments that complemented the dishes. Service was good. Thanks Alex for your hospitality. We'll definitely be back on... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
