We came here after a long day of sightseeing in SF. It was a perfect quite restaurant and just what we needed. The hostess was a doll and so friendly. She was polite, pleasant, and made excellent food and wine suggestions. The food was wonderful and I would go back just for the excellent experience.

This is my second time to have dinner at Seven Hills while visiting SF in July. Both times we had excellent service and the food quality is top notch. We tried special dishes (from the list of daily creations) and were treated to some delicious foie gras and truffle pasta. Highly recommend the Leg of pork (very juicy) & pane... More

We chose 2 dishes of pasta from the menu but we were told they were appetizer portion. They were listed as pasta not appetizers. Anyway, they cost the double of the price on the menu. Be careful! We didn't ask for bread. It came at an extra price.

My wife and I dined at Seven Hills with a colleague while visiting SF for business. This is a small, intimate restaurant with a great atmosphere. Amazing meal, everything superb, wonderful service! Highlights: Ravioli Uovo: Truly amazing!! Tomato Braised Polpette: Best. Meatball. Ever. Seriously! The bread ... incredible! Lowlights: Leaving the restaurant ... We will be back next time we're... We had an excellent dinner here. Kudos to our waiter, David, who provided recommendations that greatly enhanced our meal. The server provided us an appetizer "courtesy of the chef". I ordered the octopus pasta (can't recall the exact name) and my wife ordered the maccheroncelli. Both meals were more than enough food and were delicious. With a five dollar beer,... More

Wonderful meal in this small neighborhood gourmet gem. Every course, delicious, house-made pasta great...but the meatball appetizer.....wow. Glad that we're locals and can come back again.

Just across the road from this is a great little wine bar called Meuse. Stop there for a beer/wine and watch the world go by (and cable cars). Then pop across to this fine restaurant which has a great menu and you'll love the food. We had a great meal with excellent service and an easy trip back to the... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
