The food, experience and service were amazing, nevertheless the price was extremely expensive. Its unbelievable that you pay $1,200 dollars for two people. I dont think any food, restaurant, should be worth that price, so do what ever you want, you've been warned

It's hard to even put into words how amazing our dinner at Saison was. Saison is truly fine dining, but the environment feels much more relaxed than your typical fine dining restaurant. Every single detail of the entire experience is curated by the staff, and absolutely nothing is overlooked. The service is perfect, and we particularly enjoyed sitting near the... More

The place that increased my lifelong fascination with food, was Saison San Francisco , holder of three Michelin stars, where food really is “art”. Here you may find Face- book founder Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Hollywood stars hanging out. But it all comes at a price. Saison’s open kitchen is like a stage set, each course producing... More

Absolutely incredible experience. The level of detail in each and every phase of the dining experience is expertly thought out and clearly shows all three Michelin Stars off. Every course has such unique flavor, texture, and presentation aspects it's mind blowing. We came for a truly unique culinary experience and had our expectations exceeded with the food, the service, and... More

This really is a cut above the rest. from the moment we arrived the seamless, non stop professional and attentive service was on display. The food was a journey of interesting presentation and flavours. Some were definitely pushing the boundaries, like giving us scissors to cut herbs onto our meat dish, but the bit of theatre was great. The wine... More

We were celebrating our daughter 's birthday and since she use to be a Chef, wanted something special. This was the place. As we enter she was greeted with a happy birthday. Andrew the Asst. Manager took care of us and we got one of the best tables next to the kitchen. This restaurant has an open kitchen and is... More

This was a surprise experience and we liked it very much. Service attentive and friendly, many smiles and a sense of urgency. Impressive winelist, though no US whites? The prices were partly over the top, we saw bottles from our hometown in Germany which we get for 10% back home. Food ingredients were well chosen and of high quality. Whole... More

We booked months ago as we have never been to a Michelin star restaurant. From when they opened the door to welcome you in, to the parting gift of homemade herbal tea, they make you feel like a star. Every course was explained and displayed so beautifully. Our sommelier, Noah, was knowledgeable and helped us with a perfect bottle of... More

Saison is among the top of the 3 Michelin star restaurants we had dined (around the world). We were served a 10-course "surprise" dinner. I particularly liked the herbs/ratatouille from their own garden, the caviar, lobster, and sea urchin on grilled bread. The Asian influence (particularly Japanese and Chinese to reflect the SF culture) was evident in he dishes. Overall... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
