The service was quick because we told them we had to leave in 20 mins. The rotis and Naan were fresh and hot from oven. These are thick rotis like Naan but made with wheat so they at least 200 calories. The mushroom peas was okay and the vegetable jalfrazie was good. Quick and easy access to the stadium

Since we live close by we visit this place a few times a month. The review is a summary of our experiences. Have only been for dinner and each time the service was quick and pleasant. A few times we've asked to bring us their recommendation and never have been disappointed! Plenty of vegetarian tasty options and their dosa's are... More

Food is ok in this restaurant albeit a little spicier than some Indians. There isn't really much atmosphere in the restaurant and is often fairly empty.

The place is very nicely done with a friendly staff and excellent food. This Southern Indian was a little bit different than what we had experienced in the past. The food was very fresh, and carefully prepared. The owner came over to greet us and inquire about our meal during our visit. This place is "in between" the Financial District... More

My wife and I were interested in trying some Indian food while in San Francisco. We found Ruchi was close to our hotel and gave it a try. What we found was fantastic food at great prices. The service wasn't great but I assume that was because of a language barrier.

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprise by the high quality and freshness of the food. The owner as well as the chef are very hospitable and friendly. Their Masala-dosa is outstanding. You can choose amongst a dozen or so variety of masala dosa from all parts of India. The generous spicing of the food was never overwhelming but... More

Very disappointed in the food. We ordered masala dosas, chicken biryani, idlis etc.... Food is just mediocre to bad. Idlis were bad, sambhar had very weak flavor and biryani was just plain and no taste. You will spend upwards of $25-$30 easy here and thats fine if the food is good - but here the kitchen and/or chef needs a... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
