Saw the review on Trip Advisor, and decided to try this place. We were not disappointed. It is away from the hustle and bustle, and tourists who venture into the well known establishments. The menu is on the wall, and you order at the counter. There is only seating for approx. 15 people, so you need to be lucky, otherwise... More

So small we almost missed it. My wife and I had a quick lunch during our walking tour of the city. Loved it. It's friendly, good service and amazing portions. My wife had a ciabatta sandwich that was too big for her to finish and i had a simple but delicious bagel with cream cheese. Not much room to sit... More

After an hour waiting right in front of Mama's restaurant I decided to leave for Isabella's Cafe. The restaurant is mostly visited by locals. It is small with 4 tables. A very friendly ( possibly the owner ) lady took my order. After a short while I am sitting at the colorful table, taking a bite of my delicious burrito... More

We live down the street from Cafe Isabella's and have been going there for a few years now. We love the owner and her staff. Wonderful people who make an outstanding breakfast and lunch. Don't forget her Cafe Mocha Azteca. I am hooked. Her tamales? Superb. Only downside? Everyone knows how good they are so she tends to run out.... More

Their breakfast burritos are big enough to share or if you are really hungry, but they are awesome! Coffee is good too. Take it to go as they only have 4 tables.

The Best Friends burrito was quite tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed my latte too. They have a broad-ranging menu of burritos, breakfast sandwiches and other sandwich options, along with some baked goods. The prices were quite reasonable and the service was friendly. There are a few tables inside and a couple outside; many neighborhood residents seem to take their food to... More

My husband and I both got the egg and cheese croissant, which was delicious. They had very reasonable prices.

Isabella's is a great spot to stop in if you're in the Chinatown/North Beach area north of Broadway. They have truly awesome breakfast burritos that are comparable in size to a standard Chipotle burrito! You'll pay about $9 for it, which isn't bad for the area. A large coffee will only set you back about $2.50, and you can't even... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
