Lovely fondue place

A great place to go to for fondue whether it's with your friends, family or children. This place is in the heart of SOMA in San Francisco and can be easily accessed with public transportation. We went there on a fridaynight and were able to dit at the bar. This was I nice place, you could talk to the hosts. It is a small but lovely restaurant. The fondues are amazing and you have multiple options in what kind you want. We would go there more often if we lived there;)

Fondue Cowboy is located in Soma at Russ and Folsom and is a fantastic spot to grab a great glass of wine (they are very generous with their pours) and a wonderful meal be it one of their creative Fondue delectables or their AMAZING house made meatballs, or a great sliced prime meats plate. The food is here is remarkably... More

My husband and I both loved the fondue with the meat plate. We would definitely come back to try the dessert fondue. We were too full to get dessert out first trip. Amazing!

We stopped in on a whim and didn't have reservations, but they let us sit at the bar. They were friendly and accommodating, and were happy to customize anything for us. We started with a glass of sangria from the giant jar next to us. It was good, not too sweet and went well with the food. The fondue that... More

Ever since I had my first real fondue on a blustery night in Colonia, Uruguay, I crave it when the weather gets gloomy. Now I'm not trying to be exotic about the Uruguay thing, I'm just a very unadventurous and picky eater and had kept away from fondue (except chocolate) because of the funny tasting cheese. Needless to say I... More

This was a fantastic find! I always recommend getting out of the touristy areas to find the best food. Great service and one fondue definitely served two easily. The John Wayne movies behind the bar were kind of fun too!

I didn't know what to expect when showing up at this very quirky, small, cowboy themed bistro. Staff was friendly, space was ok except for limited tables. Menu is limited to basically a few types of fondue, served with different types of dipping breads and vegetables. The fondue pot is smallish, but the classic version tasted fine. You might still... Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
