We ordered the rice with seafood, ceviche mixto and the delicious lomo saltado. I was a little scare to try the lomo saltado because I had a really bad experience at the Limon restaurant where the lomo saltado was very salty but The lomo saltado...at Francos Was just perfect to the taste. Portions are well to share and of course it was delicious. the food was well packed and it was ready by the exact time that it was promised on the website. the only thing is that you have to create an account to order but we called directly to the restaurant to place the order... me and my family were very satisfied with the foodMore

Franco’s is a wonderful Peruvian restaurant just west of the streetcar tunnel on West Portal. It’s a bit tight as are all small restaurants in the neighborhood. Came for lunch with my spouse and ordered a Dungeness crab sandwich as well as a seafood stew...in coconut milk. The sandwich had very generous portion of crab meat and was very flavorful. It came with a simple salad. The seafood soup also had wonderful flavor and ample seafood such as crab, mussels, calamari and scallops. While they were on the high side of the menu prices they were more than worth it. The service was excellent and the decor is cozy. We will recommend this to our friends when they visit San Francisco. It’s probably better to visit on a weekday as the neighborhood is quite busy on weekends and parking can be problematic.More

I am sorry I didn't take a photo, but we were just too busy talking. The pork chop dish had fries that kept sliding off of the plate. The chimichurri was underneath the kale salad not to be seen until almost finished. I know it...is a practice to serve entrees on smaller plates so it looks like you have a lot of food, but this is so annoying. My friend's dishes were also enjoyed. However, one person purchased a beverage with their own credit card after we paid for our dinner bill in cash. The card is used so minimally that it was quite noticeable when it suddenly had a $400 charge attempted on it 24 hours after buying this beverage. The bank immediately declined the charge, reported as suspicious. We have no way to know if the waiter tried to use their card, or if a skimmer is on the card reader at the restaurant. It was a paper receipt that was issued. For this reason, we're only using cash for the meal if we ever do return.More
