Tried Tony's Pizza Napoletana after running the Golden Gate Half Marathon and it was everything others have written and then some. I could use a lot of different adjectives to describe Tony's Pizza but they all seem trite and over used so pick the one that impresses you the most and that was what I thought of the Pizza here!!!!!!... Pizza is the best and Tony's has the best PIZZA in San Fran. Their Pizza is delicious! The crust is out of this world. Their pizza it tastes fresh. It's has a vibrant and fresh tomato flavor, complimented by a strong cheese blend. From the gooey, cheesy start to the crispy, crusty end, this is one good cheese pizza.

Expect waiting but it's worth it as the pizzas are great. We especially liked the New Yorker with pepperoni and sausage. The thin crust was done just right. We also had the gnocco. This spicy sauce and greens made a nice combination. The beer selection is excellent and we had the Ballast Point Sculpin IPA. Service was timely.

Excellent pizza done many different ways, with multiple crusts and ovens. We had the Detroit pizza, steel oven, the dough covered in cheddar which yields a chewy and crispy touch to the cheese, with sauce poured over the top to finish it. The kids menu pizza is similar to East Coast style, a thinner yet chewy crust, nice balance of... More

Tony's was recommended by locals living in San Francisco. It was delicious! We ordered the margarita and I think it was a meat lovers. It was one of the best pizzas I have had! The service was awesome and so was the view while sitting outside. Highly recommended!

Tony's was recommended by some locals after asked what the BEST pizza in town was, so we thought we'd give it a shot...we showed up about 7pm on a Sunday night and was told it was going to be a 45min wait, which was ok because they do have a texting service and let you know when your table is... Love Tony's- saw it on the travel channel and now we go every time we are in San Fran! Long line- if you can go right before they open at noon then you wait in small line and can get right in. Margherita pizza is great-they only make small amount everyday. If you are a meat lover the New Yorker... More

I'm torn for this review. The pizza was probably one of the best I have ever had anywhere. Delicious. But there is more to a night out than just great food. The service was ok at best, and the ambience outside (they were full inside) was a bit dull. If we were inside with a great waiter I imagine I'd... More

I was looking through google for delicious margherita pizzas in the bay area and Tony's popped up. So one day a friend and I took a trip up to the city (I lived in san jose at the time) and found Tony's, that was 4 years ago and I have returned to this place ATLEAST 10 times already. I highly... Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
