Great tapas which is shared by our table of 4. We started with sangrias and drinks and decided to do their prix fixe 7 course tapas tasting menu for $48 pp. The croqueta de jamon Serrano was a fried fritter, a great start because when you bite into the crisply dough, you get to the creamy filling with the slightly... Nestled in Noe Valley on Castro off 24th is this little gem. Excellent service and delicious tapas await you -- go for the tapas tasting menu, if you don't and you see someone else with it, you'll be soreeee.... I usually get warmed for the occasion with some cava but others go for the sparkling sangria and achieve similar happy... More

My friends took me here while visiting in SF. We had several glasses of wine before and during, so my memory was a little fuzzy upon leaving. The food was amazing. Nothing was without it's moments of glory. The complexity of the flavors surpassed the simplicity of the ingredients. If I ever have tomatoes that taste so good again, then... More

My companion and I met for an early dinner at this charming little restaurant in the Castro. Upon learning that this was my first visit, the waiter gave a concise and informative explanation of all of the selections on the menu. He also made recommendations regarding portion sizes, which helped us avoid ordering too much food. We both started with... More

We went with another couple and shared everything. The lamb chops were good (albeit tiny for the price), the croquettes were excellent, the 5J ham was a splurge but worth it, the "pizza" was excellent, and the chard was so good that I finished it off myself! I only wish that the seats were cushioned.

Four of us ate hear while visiting a friend who lives in the area. It was the best meal of our four day trip. We shared five items and each one was flavourful and unique. My two favourites were the smashed pea toast and the albondigas. The service was good and the price was reasonable. The tapas menu provided lots... More

My husband and I have been here several times and love it! The staff is fabulous and they have the pacing of dishes down to a science. Not to fast, not too slow...just right! The food is fabulous! We are vegetarian - they don't have a lot of options - maybe 15% of the menu but every one of them... More

Sat outside and enjoyed the delicious array of food from the tasting menu. we were our server's A team because we were pretty skillful at putting down the food. I liked the variety of food. We added on a dish (thus the A team) but didn't like that one as well as the flavorful choices of the tasting menu. It's... More

Once you've eaten at Contigo you'll understand why this Catalan neighborhood gem has received the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award 5 years in a row. The food and service will have foodies coming back for more. My daughter and I found ourselves in Noe Valley so dropped in on the off chance that they had a table free. No tables, but... More

My husband and I are food lovers. We have frequented restaurants all over the world - from inexpensive 'local' fare, to expensive fine dining. For those who are discerning eaters, following is our experience at Contigo: Little Gem (beet) Salad $12.00 - dressing was sour / beets tasteless. Espinacas (spinach) con Garbanzos $12.00 - a stew of (overcooked) spinach and... More
